Guardians of the Dream features all new Tier Set armor for every class. We’re excited to share them with you today.

Please note that the designs and values below are a work in progress. When these sets are ready for testing, the Guardians of the Dream PTR may include values that are older than what you see here, and values may be updated on the PTR with changes to these sets via hotfix at any time.

Class Set Design

In the Guardians of the Dream update, set bonuses can interact with or modify talents anywhere on the talent tree. We expect them to shake up some builds that you’ve been using, enable entirely new builds, or further augment some high-powered abilities as you gear up in Season 3.

Our first venture into a solo rated PvP in World of Warcraft was Solo Shuffle. Following its success, we’re now looking to experiment with a format we’re calling “Battleground Blitz”, for solo queue Rated Battlegrounds.

Battleground Blitz is an 8v8 solo queue Battleground experience, and our first foray into what could potentially become solo queue rated battlegrounds in the future. We learned a lot from Solo Shuffle that informed the gameplay considerations of battlegrounds in a solo queue environment for this brawl, which will be discussed here.

To provide more transparency on the actions we take against cheating and exploitation, here is a breakdown on the number of actions that were taken over the last month, August 2023:

Total Exploitative WoW Account Actions in August 2023: 145566

All of these actions were for cheating or exploitation, which primarily result in permanent bans or 6-month suspensions. This number does not include other actions such as those taken on accounts with character name or in-game language violations. We continue to evolve our methods and act against these malicious accounts on a daily basis.

With hotfixes that went live a few hours ago, Mechagon should be fixed up.

• The String of Ears buff earned for Mak’gora kills now persists through death.
• Developers’ notes: This will allow the new Classic API to report the correct Mak’gora kill count for deceased characters.

Hello.

The original bug that reduced the number of polished pet charms in Dragonflight was fixed soon after it was discovered. The charm rewards for Dragonflight quests should be back to where they were before that bug occurred.

We hear your desire for more sources of pet charms, and we’re currently looking into ways we can do that, though we’re not ready to announce any yet.

In case you missed it, running now through the end of the game week on Tuesday morning, Ulduar raid Timewalking is available.

To get started, join a raid group and head to Dalaran. In the middle of Dalaran, Vormu has a quest for you that rewards a Heroic raid level piece of gear and a hefty 500 Timewarped Badges. All of the usual bonus rewards are also in play, such as pets and mounts. And Vormu can also teleport you to Ulduar.

Then all you have to do is kill Yogg-Saron!

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the quest “Using the Idol” to not show up after you completed “An Idol in Hand.”

• Players can complete “Power Unified” a second time while party-synced, which removes one Splintered Spark of Shadowflame from them.
• Players may not be able to select the quest “Zuldazar” from their Scouting Map.

User Interface

• The Overwatch 2 icon is missing from players’ friends list.
