Lots of people are still doing them and they’ll still be there for you. The only thing you can’t get anymore is the Feat of Strength (which doesn’t add to your Achievement points anyway.)

With a hotfix, we’ve just made the following update on all Classic Era realms, including Hardcore realms:

• Completing “Fish in a Bucket” no longer rewards gold.

This change was originally made in patch 2.0.10 and works well in Classic Era/Hardcore, as the original quest provided an uncontested, single-faction, infinitely repeatable, low risk gold reward that does not comport with the nature of the rest of the game.

We’ll continue to monitor for situations like this one and if necessary, we’ll take further steps to promote player interactions and Classic gameplay.

Thanks to everyone who have shared their thoughts so far on Battleground Blitz. We’ve seen a lot of feedback here and elsewhere that we’d like to respond to and hopefully provide some additional information about the game mode for clarity.

Arathi Basin and Deepwind Gorge

As indicated in a screenshot in the initial preview, there are objective timers for these maps to indicate when bases will be reset and this functionality is implemented on PTR. Currently, these timers are located under “Objectives”, which may be initially minimized for some players. Placing them under objectives will allow players to utilize Edit Mode and move them on their UI as best fits.

• On the secret day starting with “They Are Always Listening”, you should now get the quest “A Complete Inventory” from Fangli Hoot if you do not get it automatically by investigating all 6 notes.
• Updated some of the quests to address issues where players could fail to receive a clue because secrets had been started on different characters.

• Hardcore Realms
  • The Coarse Dynamite thrown by civilian dwarf NPCs at Dun Modr should no longer cause players to become PvP flagged.
  • Developers’ notes: These specific NPCs had a very small chance to hit you and flag you, so it may as well be zero chance. Nonetheless, we do not intend to make changes to the general behavior of enemy faction guards in Hardcore. Players who wish to avoid being flagged for PvP should avoid enemy faction settlements and quests labeled “PvP” in the Quest Log.

• ROGUE
  • Developer’s note: In Guardians of the Dream we are updating all 4 Rogue talent trees to bring them up to current standards. A sweeping pass was needed to make significant adjustments to address notable concerns, like: moving the first gate from row 3 to row 4 to match all other classes; improving pathing and increasing interconnectedness on every tree; removing 3-point nodes; and reducing the percentage of minor DPS talents taken in the Class tree to make room for more flavorful and robust utility options. We also wanted to use the opportunity where so many things are changing to rework or redesign some talents that needed the update, and also just to make some new talents to experience and (hopefully) enjoy.   • Many changes have been made to Class talent positions and connections.
  • Sap is now a baseline ability.
  • Shiv damage increased by 20%.
  • Shiv now costs 30 Energy (was 20) ...

Something has been plaguing me for days, and now I can finally point my thinking cap to the right place (-198, -84).

There was definitely a bug preventing the matchmaker from launching Battleground Blitz on the PTR.

This is now resolved.

It is taking a little while to stabilize the Arcane Forge permanently.

This will result in more arcane disturbances in Valdrakken, with the last one projected to be at 2:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, September 13, which means more time to get the limited time Feat of Strength Arcane Influence.

Thereafter, the forge will be permanently empowered for you to continue crafting your Mimiron’s Jumpjets.
