Hello Tenno!
As of December 22nd at 5 p.m. ET, the final Cross Platform Save “drip gate” has closed for 2023. Thank you, Tenno, for your patience, enthusiasm, and feedback as we worked through the rollout. We’ll return in January to re-open the gates and provide respective fixes.
Tenno - our ambitions of delivering Cross Platform Save in 2023 have been a partial success. We are hitting pause. Over 100,000 Tenno have used the feature in the short time that it was open (WOW), but it will not be open over the holidays for stability and technical reasons.
More details on that:
Stability: When we opened the gates on Dec 22, it brought down our operations for just under an hour. We have since fixed this at-scale for now, but we cannot risk it happening again without full-time supervision.
Technical Reasons: On a per-hour basis, we are finding at least 1 major issue being reported that will prevent someone from playing over the holidays. We do not want this to trend in any direction other than down, so we have closed the gates.
We return in January to re-open and re-allow the feature to be even more user-friendly and stable.

What a year it has been for us - Warframe celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary, which is a milestone I never could have imagined when we first launched. We now say goodbye to 2023, and before we go, it’s time to share some thoughts on the past 12 months. The calendar is harshly reminding us how fast time goes by, and it demands retrospective thoughts so we don’t lose sight or perspective. We go into our 11th year next year - we need to bring some learnings with us!
But first, a question: do you have a favourite Warframe from 2023? Citrine? Kullervo? Dagath? Qorvex? Each of these new Warframes came with an Update of varying complexities and size - we’ve added so much this year and learned even more. Highlights and Lessons were common company with each Update and Hotfix - here are some that stand out to me:

Will we get the option to have our alias be the oldest one? Merged from pc originally to switch and just did a link with a new pc one, but it only took the new PC one as my account name.
Edit: already opened a ticket and very excited to be able to log in after work. Appreciate the hard work!
As I understand it, you will still have your old name on the Switch and the new name on PC.
Linking/Merging accounts does not actually change account names on the different platforms.
Additionally, we have deployed a Hotfix containing Cross Platform Save fixes:
12/22/2023 Cross Platform Save Update:
The first few hours of our Cross Platform Save stress test were appropriately named - stability has returned, and we're continuing to monitor.
Cross Platform Save gates are open to ALL Tenno for a limited-time stress test today. We will keep you updated on our Socials, Forums, and in-game Red Text (me!!) when the gate has closed, keeping in mind we may need to end earlier than stated if we see increased stability issues. A reminder that this is our last Cross Platform Save gate until January 2024 when the team returns from holidays.
Hiho!
The first few hours of our stress test were appropriately named; we are watching and monitoring as stability returns. We also have deployed a Hotfix that addresses the following Cross Platform Save issues:
Happy Holidays!
That's absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much, and double thanks for bearing with the terseness of my original comment; I apologize for the tone and know that you all are working hard so close to the holidays to tackle what you can.
If I may ask, just for the sake of knowledge: is that hotfix planned for today before the drip-gate closes, or is it more projected for a January timeframe? Again, thanks so much for all you guys do!
Hotfix is out.

Cross Platform Save Fixes:
Fixed the inability to Merge your Console account if you had to make a new PC Account after the November 24th cut-off date in order to Merge.
If you encountered the issue and did not link the accounts, the website should now say the accounts will be merged
If you encountered the issue and did link the accounts, please contact support
Fixed some Merged accounts not getting various Quest inboxes which resulted in an inability to start ...
Any resolution on concole-to-console merges being prompted to create a PC account then getting this red text when trying to merge other consoles into the Primary console?
I think at this point I just want to be told it won't be resolved until January, lol.
We have a fix for this issue but we need to deploy it with a Hotfix (soon).
Our fix should solve the situation for players that merged a new PC account with one of their console accounts.
Explanation by one of our Devs:
Player has console accounts A and B, created before the cutoff.
Player created new PC account C, after the cutoff.
Player links one of the consoles, say A, with C (no merge, this is intentional)
Player tries to connect B and C, the website says they qualify for linking only, even though they should be able to merge
- If they waited, the hotfix will heal them and they should be able to merge
- If they didn't wait and did the link, they should contact support
Cheers!
Tenno,
We bring you an update on Cross Platform Save! After weighing the realistic options with less than two working days left in the year, we have come to the following plan for Cross Platform Save:
Tomorrow, December 22nd, 2023, we will open the Cross Platform Save gates to ALL Tenno from 8 am ET to 5 pm ET, providing the team with a full working day to monitor. If major issues arise, we may need to close the gates earlier.
After 5 pm ET on December 22nd, the Cross Platform Save gates will remain closed until the team returns in January.
We recognize that some Tenno may have to wait to experience Cross Platform Save until 2024, and for that, we apologize. In full transparency, we cannot risk the game's and database's stability over the holiday break by leaving Cross Platform Save enabled for all. The database sur...
