First of all welcome to the game! If you haven't seen our Dev Blog, we're in the process of discussing additional balance changes that should put CVs closer to where we'd like them. The overall AA change was good (consistency) but it's impact has been a little over efficient. We're watching the data very closely and will announce something in the very near future about a hotfix.
The anti-CV attitude is a bit of a long running concern that is too lengthy to even describe here. Please don't take it personally but yes we do have some folks who sadly feel TKing an allied CV is an appropriate response. I can assure you most of the community while willing to express frustration of CVs at times is not like that.
The change was ultimately made to provide consistency in DPS for surface ships and remove some of the randomness.
I know I personally ran into a number of situations in a AA spec ship where squadrons could make multiple passes on me and barely get a scratch. Now we are confirming with this blog that the change is still good (consistency is a great thing!) but it might have impacted CVs a little more than the team would like. We're going to watch data from this weekend and make adjustments as needed.

As 0.8.5 changes have brought much needed and requested AA DPS consistency, seems like in many cases the plane losses became slightly excessive, and CV efficiency was nerfed too much. While we do like the change, we still need to keep CV efficiency reasonable. Over weekend and early next week we intend to observe the situation very closely, determine the amount of needed changes to plane HP, and implement a hotfix. Unfortunately, only live server data will help us to polish the change, preserving its core concept – more rewarding and meaningful anti-air defense.

These bugs could be reproduced on weak GPU or when you have old graphic drivers. Please update your MacOS version to the latest version and let me know whether it helps or not.

To do a check and repair:
In the WGC, click on "Game Settings"
Select "check and repair"
Click on "Continue"
See if that helps the issue.

For everyone that is reporting this, can you try removing any mods and run vanilla client?
I want to confirm that this is a mod-pack UI case and not something that is in our game client.

When we design missions we want to design missions around a "flavor" and that "flavor" includes ways to complete the missions and their limitations. Some of these missions are dedicated to great battles and will have some types of limitations, i.e. ship nations and/or classes. Not all battl
On the other hand there are missions designed in 0.8.5. update that are "flavored" with Savage Battles. These missions that are designed for Savage Battles allow you to earn credits and get fuel tokens.
The design of missions is heavily dependent on different factors including, but not limited to: available modes, theme of the mission, rewards, current update etc.
In the top left of your port screen, click on the image and that should take you to the Directives screen. For the first round you'll need to accomplish 5 tasks which will reward Fuel Tokens when you are done.
