There are only 5 points in dedicated AA talents for Battleships. The 2-point skill is a 10% increase, which is mathematically sound compared to a Cruiser's 4 points for +20%, but can feel like a small improvement.

The 3 point Talent which helps your Priority Sector is a great choice, though.

Also, remember that AA stacks multiplicatively, so each increase also makes the other increases worth more.

The Secondary/AA Module Health Upgrade in Slot 1 is a great choice for helping your mounts last longer.

The AA Upgrade in Slot 3 is not something used in any builds that I'm aware of.

The skill does not make Second Pings unworkable. It just makes them less long.

Having a more comfortable Single Ping, but having a Double Ping that's still over 40+ seconds is still capable.

Using 1,000 Base XP as a baseline.

Old Camo:

[Base XP] + (XPBonus)[Base XP] = [Earned XP]


1,000 + 1(1,000) = 2,000 Earned XP



[Earned XP x .05] + (FXPBonus)[Earned XP x .05] = [Free XP]


(2,000 x .05) + (1)(2,000 x .05) = 200 Free XP

Post-Conversion:

[Base XP] + (XPBonus)[Base XP] = [Earned XP]


1,000 + 1(1,000) = 2,000 Earned XP

Why are you trying to argue that the Anshan not getting as big of an increase is some form of nerf?

It's an increase. Increases are not nerfs.

We extended the duration of the Second Ping. Because of that, the Second Ping lasts a long time, which a Single Ping is fairly short.

Sonarman makes Single Pings more comfortable, but Double Pings last a shorter duration. In effect, you would take it if you're less able to land Double Pings.

This part alone is going to be MASSIVELY helpful, as I think I'm just overestimating torpedo range as a whole at these tiers. Looks like I have some studying to do. Thanks!

We determined that double pings were lasting too long, so Sonarman was adjusted to affect that.

As of now there is no plan to free respec sub skills as that changes to them don't fundamentally change the desired playstyle.

Regarding speeds, all ships have a speed that generally correlates to their ability to project across the battlefield. Destroyers have generally short engagement ranges and move the fastest. Cruisers have larger engagement ranged and move a bit slower, while BB's have the largest engagement ranges and move the slowest. Submarines have relatively short engagement ranges and therefore have to be able to reposition accordingly. The jump from 8 to 10 is keeping in line with the increasing map sizes as tiers increase.

As for the underwater speed, we will continue to watch and see if this becomes and unmanageable problem, but the game is arcade, not realistic, so the reality that submarines in real life cannot travel q...

In Conversion the Best of each Resource type is used. This camo would Convert into:

+5% Credits (because -10% Service Cost turns into +5% Credits)


+50% XP


+50% Commander XP (because +50% Commander XP is extrapolated from the +50% XP)


+100% Free XP (because +100% Free XP is more than +50% Free XP extrapolated from the +50% XP)
