Hey BESTILPRO! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing crashes in Hyper Scape. Are you receiving any error codes or messages before or after the crashing? Also, do you crash back to your PC desktop or to the game's menu?

Hey guys,

We're sorry to hear that you have been encountering these issues.

The first thing we would also advise is making sure you've run through our troubleshooting steps here. These steps can help with issues such as this as well as general system health.

We would also advise ensuring you meet the minimum system requirement for the game, which can be found here.

Thank you for confirming that for us, SiilkLone.

To help us look into this for you, please speak with the Support Team through one of the channels below:

In this please include a DxDiag & MSINFO, which you can get through the steps in the Support Article here.

Hey @WesoPR

Is this something that seems to be happening at a certain spot in-game, or is it just random?

@WesoPR

Got it, thanks. Can we try out some troubleshooting to see if we can stop this from happening? In some cases I've seen the game freeze like this because of connectivity issues. I think that would be a good place to start.

When you've got the chance please try running through the basic connectivity troubleshooting steps from the EA Help website. If you're still seeing any freezes happening after that check out the PlayStation-specific steps as well.

Let me know how that goes once you've had the chance to give it a shot. Thank you!

@WesoPR

I appreciate you giving it a shot. Have you tried setting a different DNS on your PlayStation to see if that makes a difference? In some cases using a different DNS can help with issues like this as well. To update the DNS on your console follow the steps below:

1. Open your PS4 Settings and go to Network

2. Choose Set Up Internet Connection

3. Choose Wi-Fi or LAN Cable depending on what sort of connection you're using

4. Select IP Address Settings (automatic)

5. Select DHCP Host Name (Do Not Use)

6. Choose DNS Settings (Manual)

7. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but if there's a different DNS you would rather use instead that's OK as well.

8. Select Next

9. Choose MTU Settings (Automatic)

10. Select Proxy Server (Do Not Use)

11. Select Test Internet Connection

Let me know how it goes when you have the chance to give it a shot. Thanks!

Thanks. Sorry for lack of clarity, a router power cycle is when you turn it off for a few moments, and then start it back up. This can clear cached data and can fix issues. It's less effective with more modern routers, but it's still worth trying.

Thanks for trying the other account,  at least that eliminates an account-based issue.

For the next step can you try restarting with a Clean Boot, to discount potential conflicts with 3rd party software?

How to clean or safe boot your PC or Mac

It's also worth re-whitelisting the game and Steam on your security software, in case that's a factor.

Hey, link fixed, and thanks for the update. Can I check what step you took, so we can track it?

That looks like a simulation error is happening. Your best options to try and recover the save from that is these two mods:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=667342976
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=529129546

Subscribe to and enable both mods. Restart the game and go into Options, find the Loading Screen Mod on the left, then find and enable the Safe Mode options. Then try loading your save.

This is what I got when using the Loading Screen Mod

Is that also the case with Save Or Saves enabled as well as the Safe Mode options from the Loading Screen Mod?

We'll need to have a look at the game's logs then. Steam unfortunately isn't useful for this, so you will need to make a thread on the official support forum here:

@the-devil Hello there! I've moved your post to the support forums for better assistance from our dedicated support team!

I suspect you'll find it is not necessary to reinstall VC++ every time, since after the first time that will not change anything.

You have a bunch of mod errors in that log. Does this happen in a campaign that's never had any mods used in it?
almost 2 years ago - AndrewT - Direct link
I see. Check those mods have all been updated to work with the 1.6 game patches. If so it's probably time to post in the User Mods forum!
almost 2 years ago - AndrewT - Direct link
You say no mods but there are some mod errors in there?

After the crash, can you play on with that campaign or it crashes at the same point?

Is this just happening in that one save game? Or in any other campaign you might play too?

And finally, was this campaign started under 1.6.1.2 or some earlier patch?

You need to provide more information:

Which Platform (Steam?).
At which state did the game crash.
Mods/DLC installed.
System config.

Which world were you on? When did this happen? Any details would be helpful.
