Hello,

I have an issue which really annoys me since I started playing AC Valhalla.
I am always playing in window borderless due to often chaning to second screem.
Fullscreen mode is not an option for me.

I know that it's completely normal for mouse pointer to be able to go to other screen when for example I'm in game menu but it should be blocked in central area of screen when I'm actually playing, fighting, exploring etc.
Meanwhile I have such accidents like suddenly clicking somehow on other screen, completely making me vulnerable to enemies mid-fight.

I am playing in 2k borderless 16:9 (native proportions and resolution) in Ultra Settings.
2nd monitor is in 1920x1080.

Is there any solution to such thing besides changing to fullscreen mode? I don't have such issues in other games.

Kind regards,
Lixarius

Hey there @lixthewolf ,

Thank you for getting in touch!

When re-entering the game window, could you please try hitting Alt-Tab, this should reset the boundaries.

If this doesn't work, hitting ESC to enter the Pause Menu and then clicking on the screen should also reset the boundaries and your mouse should remain in the window.

Please let us know if these help at all!

Thank you for sharing an update with us, @LixTheWolf! I'm glad to hear that you've been able to find a solution that works for you and resolves the issue 😄

Please note that Ubisoft Support is unable to assist with any trouble that may be caused as a result of unsupported third party software, as third-party software can conflict with the game files and cause technical issues. You're welcome to use this at your own risk, though.

If there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Thanks! 😊

@yasha57 Hey! Welcome to Discussions!

If you haven't yet, can you please try the steps that @Ubi-TheBerry mentioned above:

When re-entering the game window, could you please try hitting Alt-Tab, this should reset the boundaries.
If this doesn't work, hitting ESC to enter the Pause Menu and then clicking on the screen should also reset the boundaries and your mouse should remain in the window.

If the issue persists after trying the above, please also go through our troubleshooting guide. Let me know if you continue to have issues with this!

Hi @nemesis05 and @lemmie88 and thanks for providing more details.

Have you tried changing the screen setting to bordered instead of borderless? This should resolve the issue. If it doesn't, please make sure to go through our technical troubleshooting guide posted above and let us know if the problem persists after that!

@nemesis05 Thank you for taking the time to provide us with these details! The troubleshooting steps that we recommend and any follow-up information that we request are intended to expedite the support process. If our teams are to investigate any issues that we report, it is critical that we complete all troubleshooting and gather as much information to include as possible. This is all quite standard in bug reporting and the bug life cycle. Again, the suggestion from my colleague was intended to help us further narrow down the cause of the issue and help our teams to look into this further for us.

Everything you described will be documented and included but if you have any other helpful tips that you would like us to include, feel free to let us know🔥
