With the introduction of the new Outlands in Queen we've rebalanced resource distribution to match the new design of the Outlands. We've also incorporated some last minute feedback you gave on the test environment to keep some of the "large" gathering nodes in the game.

So what has changed?
  • What tiers of resources you can find in each zone based on the tier of the zone.
  • Respawn-times of resources in the Outlands have been rebalanced.
  • We have added new small nodes for Tier 7 and 8 which will not spawn fully charged but will take less time to respawn instead. (As previously, big nodes spawn with full charges.)
  • If the old version of the hide mob dropped a mount, the new one will drop one as well. Overall mount drop rates should remain approximately as they were previously.
  • Amount of Tier 7 nodes per zone has been increased.
  • Amount of Tier 8 nodes per zone has been drasti...

Recently, there have been quite a few threads about the non-consensual PvP balance in Albion Online. There are a lot of complaints that due to recent changes, it is too hard to catch and kill potential ganking victims.

First of all, note that our balance goal is to maximize the amount of PvP that happens in the game in a sustainable way.

Non-consensual PvP in full loot games is extremely hard to do properly. The underlying issue is that it needs to be set up in such a way that it works in the long term, for both parties involved, the gankers, and the potential victims. Without potential victims, there is no non-consensual PvP.

What's not immediately obvious is that maximizing PvP is not achieved by making the game more and more deadly.

The amount of non-consensual PvP depends on the number N of possible targets in the zone, the chance E that you can engage them in a fight, and the chance K that you can score a kill in a fight, w... Read more

Hello everyone,

Recently we noticed an increase in reports of people being trapped inside player houses because the exits are blocked off with furniture.

I'd like to remind everyone that we consider abusing this mechanic to be an exploit under clause 15.5.4 of our Terms and Conditions and those who abuse this bug will be sanctioned accordingly.

If you see anyone abusing this mechanic, please file a report by writing to [email protected] and provide any evidence you might have (video confirmation of the exploit).

For players who find themselves trapped in the houses, please use the /stuck command by entering /stuck into the in-game chat. Some important things to note when using this command:

With Hideouts we’re introducing a really exciting new sandbox feature to Albion Online! You’ve probably heard that Hideouts are “open world bases” for your guild - but you may still have questions about how *exactly* they work.

Well, this document tries to answer that question in detail. This is not meant to be an introduction to Hideouts, but rather a guide to the details which may be important for enterprising guild leaders and players make plans for their own Hideouts after the release of Queen.

Enjoy, and let us know if there are details that we’ve left unanswered - we’ll extend this guide!
