There is a known issue where we don’t compile enough shaders in the main menu, leading to stuttering and sometimes missing textures or models in the game. This issue can randomly affect either DX11 or DX12.

As a temporary workaround to the EA App crash you can navigate to where Apex is installed and delete the ui(01).dll

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Navigate to where Apex is installed [Default: :\Program Files\EA Games\Apex\paks\Win64]
3. Delete ui(01).dll

The most affected CPUs are the AMD Ryzen 9800X3D, 7800X3D, 5800X3D, Intel i7 12700K, i7 13700K, and i7 14700K. Initial investigations suggest this is related to dynamic overclocking on the GPU and/or CPU. Possible workarounds include:

• Enabling Debug Mode in the Nvidia Control Panel
• Disabling or limiting dynamic overclocking or “boost” for your CPU
• Rolling back your GeForce Game Ready Driver to 561.09

We recently identified an issue in \@‌PlayApex that was causing a discrepancy between RP earned and promotions in Ranked matches. We’re currently in the process of rolling out a fix to correct the issue and restore accounts to their intended Ranks. As a result, some players may see their Rank increase after today.
