Took me a while to figure out whyi was dying so quickly. At some point in time i started asking where tmy team mates were from, and yeah, they were basically on the other side of the globe. Anyway, selecting the server manually now every time i boot, hope this gets fixed in future.

If you are selecting one that's different from the one the game is picking, could you send me a screenshot of your datacenter list before you pick the new one - assuming it's showing the 'wrong' selection there?

We run our lobby servers in Europe and Asia, because there are no latency sensitive actions taking place in the lobby so it doesn't really matter where we run them. So if you're just looking at lists of IPs you've connected to, that isn't going to mean much. Your matches and training will be servers that are near you.

Hm, don't think so. There was an email where they asked for gamertags and I don't remember replying to it

Yeah I don't think you're in that list :(

Edit: maybe 300? You lose count after 3 days of shooting flyers

Woah nice! :) Thanks for taking the time to take pictures of all of them. I'm also sorry to hear you had to do this 400 times, on average according to the coupon collector problem it should only have been 264! ( https://demonstrations.wolfram.com/CouponCollectorProblem/ )

This is a bit weird. So are we supposed to select the best datacenter? Shouldn't be selected by default? Is this just a temporary workaround while things get fixed properly?

I also saw some comments saying that selecting the datacenter doesn't do much because when enter/finish a match it just changes automatically. Is this information false then?

The "best" datacenter should already be selected. Generally that will be the one with the lowest ping, but packet loss factors in as well. AFAIK once you're in the lobby and playing matches, we don't transfer you between datacenters.

Hi. I'm on PS4 and i haven't been able to connect to the servers all day. And I have checked everything my internet and router, my login, and EA websites. nothing on my end i am sure of. It's says. Unable to connect to EA servers. Could it be some servers are down? Or being repaired/updated? I'm from Denmark if that info helps. Thanks before hand, love playing your game and would love to play again. :)

Sorry you're having the issue. There's nothing on our end that's showing any outage or updates so it could be related to something else outside of our control. I recommend reaching out to EA Help as well. Hope you can get back online soon and appreciate the kind words.

She never listens to me.

Server patch is live now across all platforms to address the issue with Elite Queue not working correctly. It should now work as intended.

Now as things settle you may experience some strange behavior at first. For example, getting loss forgiveness when you shouldn't. After a few matches things should return to normal status.

Sorry for the issue with this and please let us know if you're experiencing any bugs after playing through it a bit.

Correct! You've linked to the model, but the costume (as well as all the others + weapons) were fabricated by twitter.com/henchstudios :)

Could be as early as this afternoon but that could change. We'll do another post when it's going out.

Just to clarify, is it higher than it was before the unintended changes? Or is it back to "normal"?

It can go higher than before if you are running at very high framerates.

And just to clear up some confusing wording in these posts: We have always sampled user input once every client frame. We have always sent them to the server in batches. The rate of the client sending those batches was accidentally lowered from 60hz to 20hz, and now it's 60hz or even slightly more now. We aren't sending more usercmds than we used to, but we will send each one multiple times now, which will help users with upstream packet loss. Since we're sending them more often, it means the server will get more of them before each cutoff to run the frame, so it should have a modest reduction in latency.
