@The8thDwarf1971 Have fun man!
@pope74753354 We'll be experimenting with new servers and likely before the DLC launch. I can't confirm the timing but it's been discussed.
@The8thDwarf1971 What character?
@pope74753354 Some of those legacy servers might be needed for the DLC launch that's coming. I'm sure we'll need a good amount for that. I'm not 100% sure though as it isn't my area (networking)

The engineers are cranking away at transfers and we're getting closer to having an E.T.A. Friday the 13th and a full moon? Current mood:
ARK: EVOLUTION EVENT is active from now until 3 PM EST on September 16, with 2X Taming, Harvesting, and XP on all platforms! #playARK
@JordanLaws0n Also when ARK 1 when into early access that was 2 years in (development time).
@JordanLaws0n You have no idea what those arrangements look like which is part of my point. There's a lot of assumptions being made, and I get it. But it's crazy to not stop and think for a second about things like this and how "simple" everything is.
@JordanLaws0n Oh, not this. You can argue with the pace which is just a matter of prioritization but I can't entertain the "you havent done anything in 3 years". A new game takes 2-3 years to make. What holds you over in the meantime? This invisible pile of money we're sitting on? :)
@JordanLaws0n A companies revenue from games sales might not enough to keep the studio running for X amount of time. So releasing DLC could get a company over that hump
@JordanLaws0n new content = revenue = studio stays open. So yes, without it we wouldn't have the capital to just produce bug fixes without additional revenue. I'm not on the financial side but I know enough about business to know how it works.
@JordanLaws0n I'm not sure why that's such a confusing statement. Revenue keeps companies alive. If you aren't a subscription-based service that revenue has to come from games and DLC. The cost of a game studio, even our size, is 🥜. We prioritize time between new content and fixes.
@HODGAMING1 Much appreciated bro!
@JordanLaws0n Having been a dev and in a communications role, it's a natural fit. Do I wish I had more power to "move" things, sure. But real talk, I do enjoy this job - even if it means answering the same stuff. Mainly because I believe we need this and I believe in the team.
@JordanLaws0n Oh, I understand. You give me crap, I have to have a little fun with it right? With that said, we have done some hiring and have new team members who have specific priorities outside of working on DLC.
@JordanLaws0n You're just a ray of sunshine <3. We're hiring - you should apply :)
@JordanLaws0n The list may not be useful for you but it's useful for some. And it's mostly useful for me so I know what to present the dev team. They don't have the bandwidth to do this - they are coding.
@DaytimeCoder "Some previously reported things through previous QoL requests that weren't implemented are not on this list." That's correct. That doesn't mean none of those things have been seen. This is a personal effort to bridge the gap.
"How do I submit requests?" The usual methods: The Suggestions forum on STA. But I'm monitoring other social platforms too (Reddit, Steam, Facebook). One of the goals of this initiative is to let you know I'm watching 👀
