Sometimes our paths of life and careers can take us in a direction other than what degree we may hold. In this case, a candidate with a degree that is not industry specific, will have had some significant time of work in QA or in CS while self teaching through the bountiful resources available online with design, art or coding and the use of commercially available engines like unity or unreal. Building a personal portfolio that represents the developmental expertise youโve established can go a long way in convincing a hiring manager of how you can contribute on a project ๐ช
Also, it's safe to assume that a larger map means more population and fewer servers?
We spoke about this briefly during today's Development Update Livestream. Currently there's no plans to change server population based on this change in map size. Each server will be able to accommodate around 8,000 - 10,000 concurrent players.
We're also bringing down the node count. Previously we mentioned 103 nodes, but on today's Development Update we updated players that this number will be 85 nodes.
We will have a firm stance against RMT. Buying items and gold for real money is something we believe makes the game experience worse for everyone involved.
Having actual people involved in this process should help us identify "bad actors" and take action against the appropriate people. Like u/SanicExplosion said earlier, if you โsomehowโ have a pattern of finding โill-gotten goods," our GMs and Support staff investigating issues will be able to see that ๐
Very cool ๐ช
While we appreciate your enthusiasm, Ashes of Creation is currently being developed for Windows PC only. At this time, we have no plans to bring Ashes of Creation to any console.
