You guys ever thought about maybe making it a bit darker though? Or mabe set it early in the morning with the rising sun barely being visible on the horizon? It's too bright for it being at night even with the moon in the sky

The BF1 night maps have been the two least popular maps by a massive margin. People wanted them so badly and even loved them, but then after a bit no one plays them because of bad visibility and the gameplay that brings (we saw it in the results of the map voting which existed in BF1). I love dark nights in games, but the record shows so far that there is little value in it. I would love to enable it for CQ and other modes one day tho. Some areas need a bit of fix up for this to work tho. So no promises.

Yeah. Remember the BF1 reddits: "Everything is brown." I think the power is to be found in the variety. Funnily, when I watch "WW2 in colours" it doesn't look like Hollywood either. I guess it's a bit of a matter of taste in the end. Then again, I don't know sh*t about what is good art. ^ I trust my colleagues and stand behind their skills.

Everything is possible, but Devastation is trending extremely high in terms of popularity and satisfaction. Not really feeling that changing something that works and is popular is recommandable. There are more important issues at hand. ;)

I did that Operation. We never changed the lighting. It's as it was on day 1.

I am not a guy that gets involved much with color work, but personally I think the art team did an amazing job with our worlds. Such variety. Wait until you see Marita live. :3

I guess at some point the assignments got approved somehow and then there was no time to revision. Or they probably got approved just because there was no time left.

Not every Dev works on every part of BF, so personal preferences don’t come into play until it’s live.

To be fair, we requested videos showing occurrences as well as details about your setup and sound settings. Didn’t really get any. That doesn’t mean it’s not still being looked at, but the plethora of options (hardware and software settings) make it difficult. Moreover, sound is very much a perspective thing.

Personally, I’ve never had an issue hearing footsteps and have had a few hilarious accusations when I 180 and shoot the guy who was creeping around the outside of the building.

That doesn’t mean you’re not having an issue, but we need details/info and video to help identify the issues you’re facing.

They’re still looking into it, for sure, but it’s extremely subjective and not 100% reproducible on all platforms/setups. So it’s difficult to know how best to tweak it. It’s not forgotten, though.
