'level' is just a number going up and represents nothing, only how much time someone wasted on the game. Whats so exciting about that?
I don't agree with that.
Some people like skins or assignments. Some like stats and kdrs. I love leveling things. Guns, vehicles and my rank. Personally, I don't think there should even be a level cap. If someone plays this game so long that they are level 572 already, then let them show off that time played. You say wasted... I say high ranks show dedication to the game.

I'm sure some people would enjoy skiing in MP, especially on Fjell. Frankly, I just want my flamethrowers please. I'm so bored of every other gun in BFV, they all feel the same across their respective categories.
I know everybody on this forum is asking for this, or that, or a fix here, or an addition here, or tossing an idea there. Whatever. But since it's obviously come up with the devs before judging from your reply, what was their actual response to adding flamethrowers for MP? Was it basically yours?
I haven't a clue. I'd be speculating, but my belief is that its simply because we've done it before with BF1. If we were going to bring it back, it would feel like we just doing the same thing all over again and I don't feel that this is the purpose of BFV.
If I bump into anyone in the corridors who might know I'll find out, but this isn't something I'd expect.
It's alot easier to make stuff for NPCs than players. You, for example, don't need to make a viewmodel nor UI icon etc.

We actually tried to put skiing in Firestorm from the Single Player, but without a team of animators working on the 3D model that other people would see, it looked incredibly weird.
Flamethrower is the inverse of that, other people would see it fine, but the person controlling it would see their elbows inside the eyeballs.
The game let you do that, so thats not an hack
It is an exploit, DICE has confirmed this. Doing this is against the EA ToS and you stand to lose your account and access to the game if you are caught using it.
As I am to understand it, this will be patched very soon.

Really enjoying mercury so far! Question though, but why was the island not included in the playable area? Would have been great to have boats that could ferry you to and from the central island! I have no idea if that would be possible to add to a map, but is that something that's coming?

Re: the island. Idk. That’s a cool idea though. But as far as gameplay, you could be spawncamped if you get stuck on the island or it could end up like Flag G in Sinai BF1.
