Please try opting into the beta of the next patch 1.3.2 , now in the Steam betas tab for the game.

If that doesn not help, please report that in the 1.3.2 beta support forum, thanks!

I'd hold off on that for the time being, see if the situation develops or changes. If you have a gradually failing piece of hardware, it may not be until it completely fails that it becomes obvious what the problem part is.

I agree, although it's not something I've seen other reports of. Can he contact some form of Windows support?

Can i get you to do a clean reinstall once more please?

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

Where are you seeing that stuff about texture.png? I don't see that file on my system.

And, when you did the clean reinstalls did you delete the Documents/paradox interactive/ck3/ folder as well?

We are aware of the issue that's currently affecting some customers. We're looking into it but sadly have no estimate on when it will be sorted. For now though what you could try is the following:

1. Disconnect from the internet
2. Start the launcher and sign out (if you're still signed in)
3. Reconnect and see if the launcher loads as normal (we think the issue is the account login part)

If it doesn't, then running the .exe file from the installation directory or running the game whilst offline is the current workaround until we have it fixed.

Sorry about that!

MrRory said: Crazy that this is still an issue.
Cannot play with friends because of this.
Have you tried the 1.3.2 beta?

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file ... Read more

The game itself has not changed for some time, and I see no obvious cause of this problem in that dxdiag.

What I did notice is your C: drive is critically low on free space; Windows likes 10% free on its boot drive for elbow room. See if you can free up that much space there.

Assuming that doesn't help, Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

FYI the game is not supported on that Vega mobile chipset (Vega 11 is the minimum). But that would not normally prevent the game starting at all.

Are your AMD driver and Mesa versions completely up to date?

If you exit Steam completely and run the ./ck3 executable from a terminal command line, what output do you see there?

I have seen reports of bad performance once an on-map empire gets too big, but not the symptoms you mention here.

This is just in this one campaign, is that right? You can start and play a new test one okay?

Any mods involved?

In the game launcher please set Display mode to windowed.

THEN go here:

The latest supported Visual C++ downloads

This article lists the download links for the latest versions of Visual C++. support.microsoft.com support.microsoft.com And run the x86 and x64 installers there.

IF that doesn't help, Please do a full **clean** re-install:

I agree this sounds like a bug, although you'd think it would be known and fixed by now if it affected everyone. Have you checked with the folks in the User Mods forum to see if it affects them too, or just you?

And, how have you come to the conclusion it is a memory issue rather than anything else? Have you checked actual memory usage?

On my iMac I get the same errors as we see in that log file, down to the PdxTerrainSkirt line. So they are normal and nothing to do with your problem.

The next line seems to say your login failed, in the launcher or game - is that so?

Then the fmod lines relate to sound but I'm not sure what they are saying, to be honest. Similarly with those 'culture' lines.

What I do see is your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M video system GPU power is marginally below the game's minimum requirement, the AMD® Radeon™ PRO 560:
