I have not seen this before:
+++ WER1 +++:
Fault bucket 1877020801874427250, type 5
Event Name: WindowsBlackScreenDiagnosticsV1
but on googling it, that does not look good! Are you having any other issue in this machine?

What CPU and GPU temperatures are you seeing in the game?

This looks like a corrupted install, but whether of video driver or game I'm not sure!

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

And, there was an update to the Xbox app last night - I've had one report so that that fixed a won't-start issue like that, so make sure it's up to date.

There is not, I am sorry - MS do not provide any facility for us to enable that.

I wonder if that's an autosave issue then. If you ever move it back try disabling autosaves OR saving to cloud only.

frankralle said: My point is that it's a weird commercial decision to make a mac-port that basically only works on high end 15'' and 16'' MBP and high end iMacs. That's like making an iOS app that crashes on every Iphone excluding Iphone 11 PRO. You cater to an already small market, but then decide to exclude most of it. Why bother at all then only to make most mac customers be frustrated with the high minimum requirements?
It's been the case for every game (PDS or PI) since our first Mac port CK2 .... the commercial decision is not between all Macs vs non-Intel Macs, but non-Intel Mac support vs n... Read more

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

waltaskew said: I'm having the same issue. The game ran super smoothly before, after the 1.1.1 patch I'm experiencing heavy stuttering, lost frames, lost input, etc. Even with the game paused and not moving the camera, it's stuttering while animating troops walking in place.
I tried doing a clean re-install but the problem persists.
I've attached my dxdiag, logs and settings (which are none too exciting as they come from after a clean install.)
If you revert to 1.03 in the Steam betas tab as a test, does that go okay still or also have this problem?

Mac performance will be worse than Windows but sounds like yours is something more than that. And the sound issue is not one other Mac users have reported ....

Right, but it only happens with this save, is that right? If you start a new test game do you still see this?

We now think this is an issue with dual CPU systems.

CPU or GPU slightly below the minimum requirements should not cause a crash like this. If that is confirmed there will be a hotfix soon to address that problem.

Sorry about that!

In the meantime you can revert the game to version 1.03 in the Steam Betas tab for the game, which does not have that problem.

Well that's a big problem. In what way do they not work?

The fact is Intels are simply slower and less capable than a proper GPU under any OS. And it affects Macs more because Apple's implementation and frankly support of openGL these days is poor.

deazy said: the performance issue displays in dropping fps the longer we play the game. When we start playing I get solid 165 without any drops. After 1-2 hours of playing I am down to 30-50fps (regarding if there are any armies moving). After a restart the borders dont glow and I get a solid framerate again
That's a restart of the game or the computer? Because typically slowness after playing for a period would be a symptom of overheating.

You will have the current version 1.1.2 . It should show on the main game menu and in the MP lobby.

I've seen problems like this if there are Windows updates constantly trying to apply and failing. If you manually run the Windows Updater app, does it fine a whole new Windows 10 version to apply - not a patch or update but a whole version?

If so I suggest you apply that, reboot, run it again, apply everything it finds then - keep doing that until fully up to date.

That aside I see you've supplied a save file - is that because it happens in that save and not others?

Also, i see you have Vsync off - what fps are you seeing in th egame? if it is excessively high that can be a problem , try setting it to Yes or capping FPS to say 60 in geForce Experience.

userdir.txt will work but you need to place it in the CK3/Game/ folder under Steam.

It may confuse the launcher though. Is there a reason why you don't just use cloud saves?
