Everyone with Gamepass does not have this issue, I assure you.

And by no means are we saying this is not a game problem; part of my role here is to help people past such problems and those things I pasted have worked for many other users. I am sorry they didn't help you.

There will be a major patch for the game quite soon, hopefully that will do it for you.

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. We released an update early on the 22nd of September that we hoped would solve it (you can read more here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/server-update-notification-sept-22.1423886/) but it seems that wasn't the case >.

I see you've opted into the beta of the next launcher version - is there a specific reason for that?

I've seen that news error with Stellaris, but not this game. I'm trying to get input on this from the launcher devs here:

In game, in 1066, there are several counties which are not ruled by their historical rulers, some of those dynasties became quite important and famous.

County: Zollern
Count: 212395 Friedrich von Hohenzollern

County: Rothenburg (could be renamed to Scheyern)

What launcher version do you have? Current is 2020.12

Indeed well done! Solves three of my outstanding tickets .. :D Apparently we've seen a similar thing on CSL but not say HOI4 or Eu4 ... *shrug*

I was able to load and run that game for a couple of years at least, no problem. Is there some action or choice in that game that triggers a crash for you?

You get that same error with local saves? Because they write to a completely different place.

Have everyone load the game up with no mods at all active. You should all see 1.03 935c . Anyone who does not see that needs to do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.


IF you all see that checksum unmodded, then the issue is in the mods themselves. You may be loading them in a different order, have different mods or different versions of the same mod.   ... Read more

If anyone is in debug mode that changes the checksum, they need to exit that mode.

That aside, are mods involved or not?

That is the AMD utility, it usually comes with their drivers. It is possible they don't install it on Bootcamp - can you see it in Windows there already?

Are you using cloud saves? If so they are probably corrupted. Can you test with a new campaign with local saves only please?

This is the problem I'm afraid - Intel video systems are not supported hardware for this game on Mac. Unless you have another machine you can run on, OR have Apple Bootcamp installed (as some Intels are supported under Windows) please seek a refund from where you got the game.

Interesting, I can't test this right now with that edition but it should work, obviously.

Cloud saves in the Steam and MS Store edition do have a problem though, so that might be it. Until that issue is fixed I recommend you only use local saves; you can ransfer them with a USB stick or emailing them to yourself.
