Specifically Feudal, Tribal, and Clan rulers ?

If so I have no idea what could cause this to you. It's obviously not a game bug or everyone would get it.

You may as well try a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

bujibujiba said: As for the fps, in the menu screen it'll go up to 140, in the loading screen up to 300-400, in game up to 65.
That should not be the case with vsync disabled, fullScreen mode, and max framerate to 60fps - are all those settings still in place?

Failing that, enable vsync again - the game should run at the Windows desktop setting of 60hz then.

So it's a problem on this machine or your Steam account in some way it seems, not game settings as such.

Can you do a test install on any other machine, to see if it carries across?

Please check with ASUSTeK support for an update to that Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 driver from 2019. Failing that, try Intel themselves

I don't think I've ever seen a case where a DLC is enabled in our launcher but not in the game. You are launching the game from the Steam PLAY button then the one in our launcher, not say a desktop shortcut or ck3.exe directly?

Can you test this on any other machine you might have access to? If not, what if you make a new Windows user on this machine and log into it with that?

According to the wiki:
The Royal Court ... is only available to Feudal, Tribal, and Clan rulers of King or Emperor rank. If a character's last title of King or Emperor rank is destroyed or taken by a character of equal rank, the court becomes dormant. If the last title is taken by a character of lower rank, the court will be transferred to the new title owner.
Do you believe you meet all those criteria?

Hello! I was unable to reproduce this bug using your save. To fix this try reinstalling the game and update your PC drivers just to be sure. Could you also try to find a crash report? It should be in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes

Does it show in your Steam-Manage my DLCs page as installed and enabled?

If so, how about in our launcher's DLCs tab?

Those mod errors will show whether they are enabled or not, FYI

What game version shows in the launcher?

Do you get to see the main game menu? If so what version and checksum show there?

At what stage of loading the game does it first look like your screenshot above?

Make a new Windows user on this machine and log into it with that - does it still happen?

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

That screenshot shows you are on 1.9.2.1 but the current patch is 1.10.0.1 - is that deliberate?

However T&T ought to work under 1.9.x ... Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

Does that help?

The other basic troubleshooting steps are restart Steam and restart the PC. The rest is above my pay grade so:

No one was - that problem is now fixed though, and is unrelated to your game issue.

If the clean reinstall does not help, come back to us here and we'll look into it further.

There are some mod errors in that log - you are definitely disabling ALL mods, and then testing with a new unmodded campaign?

The frame rate cap is still not set ... ! But frankly that's unlikely to be the problem here.

Do we know how it got like this? I had a thought that you might be in debug mode but on testing, it doesn't look like that either. Were you doing some modding perhaps?

I'm pretty confident your GPU is overheating. Why that cap is not working for you is not clear to me, but I'm starting to suspect an nVidia issue where it will only run at the rate set in Windows.

Try setting your Windows desktop to be 60hz instead of 120 as it is now, and turn on Vsync in the launcher Game Settings menu. That should hold it at 60 fps - do you get this problem again then?

Amel12 said: it still says I have the latest version of Windows 10.
We're not looking for a new Windows version; we're looking for updates, patches, to your current version. Nothing like that? I had a major Windows 10 patch just in the last week or so.

If the game now runs , that is you can play it for 10 minutes okay before crashing, that seems a different problem than you have here originally. Let's get new copies of all those .log and .txt files please.

And run this Windows Repair tool please

"setting_framerate_cap"={

Are you sure you set that refresh rate cap? What fps are you getting in the game?
