To iterate on this one, modded servers currently may require mods to have mod.cpp file implemented (learn more about it at https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/DayZ:Modding_Structure). If the file is missing, folder names of mods need to be the same on both client and server side.

This is not intentional, and we are working to fix this as soon as possible in the upcoming days.

Thank you for the feedback. See the last ticket as acknowledged as well, I've brought it to our designers attention.

This update sees a gigantic re-balancing of combat in melee and ranged, against players and infected. We're trying to balance countless weapons causing shock, damage and bleeding, while considering their accuracy, need for maintenance, and rarity (+ countless other values). It is normal that not everything is perfect, and we will probably need way longer to get it to feel right than the usual Experimental period allows. There is also a problem with players not actually playing the Experimental. Our feedback channels are often spammed by players who watched videos analyzing numbers by others (sometimes of already outdated Experimental builds) without even playing themselves, so running through all feedback can take quite a bit. That said, the balancing of combat elements in DayZ does not stop with the release of 1.12. Further updates will happen, and whe...

Could you provide screenshots or videos of these issues? We are aware of the other problems, and they will be tackled when our prioritization allows it.

Sadly it's not as easy as "outsource to modders". While there are definitely very talented modders, their knowledge varies massively, and they have their own ways to achieve whatever they want to do with their mods, and those aren't always the most efficient or future-proof approaches.

As mentioned in our guidelines, DayZ Staff can not and do not have access to BattlEye global or VAC bans, and can not revoke them in any way possible. You MUST contact the BattlEye or STEAM support about any bans issued on you. Closing.

Did you start with the character after the hotfix, or did you break your legs before?

Also, please try to keep the discussions on topic 😉

Did you report this issue on the feedback tracker already? If yes, please send me a link to the ticket (either here or DM). If not, it would probably be helpful for us if you could send us an .rpt file from a time/server when/where that issue occurred + the in-game name of the affected player.

We might get to this in a later balancing pass, but for now it is not a priority.

Your PS4 account nickname

Your public IPv4

The last time you tried to connect to a server, and which server that was (the more recent, the better)

Yes, the mod has to run client-side as well, otherwise it won't work.

And this is on an official Experimental server? Can you give us the name of the server please?

Any specific type of the improvised shelters? We were unable to reproduce this so far.

We do this sometimes, but for now we do not want to do it too often, as it affects players who spend a long time building their bases or have communities on specific servers.

First of all, please refrain from insults towards each other and in general. Further behavior like that will result in penalization.

We are currently testing a fix for that, we know it's a problem.

I talked about this a couple days ago.

Based on initial Feedback a quick note on

This was a very performance-heavy function, and removing it was part of our approach to improve the server performance fast with the least impact on survival gameplay. We will consider bringing it back once we have a better implementation in mind.

On it. The vehicle instabilities are related to it, and probably other desync/server lags you are seeing.

And again, we were/are aware of the state of vehicles, even before this update increased the appearance of issues, and it's a priority to fix for us. But it just isn't a simple one and takes time (and I agree, it's taking long).

Already acknowledged last week and part of the known issues, a fix is in the works.

No changes done from our side on this, we assume it's due to the server issues (would explain individual damage not registering)

Yes, waterproof-stuff is currently getting damp, but that's also as wet as they can get, it has minimum impact on the character insulation and reflects surface-dampness. So this is intended.

That's an interesting one, could you send us some details to our feedback tracker on that please (location of the tent/barrel, screenshot ...

Thank you for letting us know. We added it to the known issues and a fix is in the works.

It would be good to know if you cooked/ate them one after the other, or if you ate them straight in a row.

There are a couple of things to unpack here, it does not work as you describe it.

Primarily, there is a difference between the energy that the character has and the volume of the stomach that is filled. As it is in reality, food first fills your stomach, then it gets converted into energy.

The 20,000 you mention was the maximum energy in the past updates (this was lowered with 1.10, as you see in the changelog "Lowered the maximum energy buffer of the player"). But it does not mean that you can eat until this is filled, there is a separate value for stomach capacity. So to have a precise examples, two fried cow steaks eaten right after another should be able to fill your stomach, or one piece of lard, but ...

In addition to our previous announcement on DayZ on the next-gen, we would like to add a couple more points for clear understanding:

Owners of a physical copy of DayZ won't be able to use their disc on a console that doesn't have a disc drive/reader.

Players on the Xbox Series will play on the same servers as users on the Xbox One do.

Players on the PlayStation 5 will play on the same servers as users on the PlayStation 4 do.

When it comes to performance, we are still conducting some internal testing, as the results can vary depending on the environment, as well as the player count, base building objects or loot in proximity, or the server performance. However, the first results clearly indicate improvements in general performance (e.g., more steady framerate), in most of the basic scenarios (e.g., roaming a non-crowded area).

There’s a lot of excitement and anticipation around the release of the new Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that DayZ and DayZ Livonia will be fully playable on both via backward compatibility.

If you own a digital license, the game will be available for download directly from your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. You’ll be able to access the game from the Ready to Install section of your Xbox Series X/S, and the Library section on PlayStation 5. Since the savegame is entirely server-side, you’ll be able to jump back into the game exactly where you left off.

Furthermore, the game’s price and availability will remain the same on the old and new generation of consoles. This includes both old and newly acquired licenses.
