As 2023 is coming to an end, it's already time to reflect and celebrate the games that made your year!

We're seven years in, and we couldn't have made it this far into The Fog without our community. We look forward to exploring more of The Entity's Realm with all of you.

This year was full of exciting moments for us: we've delivered on 100% of the quality of life and gameplay features in our Year 8 Roadmap in the first six months, along with bringing some longtime fan requests into The Fog with the Alien Chapter and the upcoming Chucky Chapter.

Thanks to your feedback, we've been able to make impactful iterations on live balance and new features that wouldn't have been as successful without the involvment of our players. We can't wait to keep building this world with you for the years to come.

Content New Killer - The Good Guy Killer Power

The Good Guy has two separate modes he can switch between; Normal Mode and Hidey-Ho Mode. Due to his short height, The Good Guy also has a fixed third-person camera positioned above and behind him, giving the player a better view of his surroundings. He is also much shorter than other Killers making him very stealthy, however he leaves fading footprints behind as he walks.

We’re thrilled to announce that Stranger Things has returned to The Fog, bringing back The Demogorgon, Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, and The Underground Complex Map.

As you may know, the Stranger Things Chapter left Dead by Daylight in November of 2021, after its original release in 2019. Now, on Stranger Things Day of all days, this beloved Chapter will once again be made available to all players.



We understand you might have some questions – hopefully, this should clear everything up.

The original Stranger Things perks had their names and icons changed after Stranger Things content was no longer available in the game. Now that Stranger Things is back, the original names and icons for the perks are too (note: the functionality of these perks are NOT changing). Please note these perks are only translated in English. All other non-English languages will be updated in the next release.

The end of the year is almost upon us, but we’ve still got news to share. In this Developer Update, we’ll cover some of the new features and balance changes making their way to the game in our next update, including a new customization option, a sizeable update to an existing Killer, and gameplay passes for two Realms.



Player Cards
A new customization option has arrived! Player Cards are decorative banners and badges which appear in the top right corner of various menus. Your Player Card will also be featured in the post-match scoreboard so other players can see them as well.
