Sorry it took me 16 hours to reply. That dang door to the backroom was locked for some reason.
Does this mean Deep Rock is finally investing in some better equipment? The old ones were sent out to endlessly harass bugs in their homes and we're getting new ones!!! YAY I'M SUPER EXCITED!!! I'm looking into this - regular platforms also melt, but so does pretty much everything icy in Glacial Strata, which potentially makes the other reply by Dwarfurious wrong (which is the main reason I'm looking into it). :D
It sounds very much related to your internet connection or system, you should try looking into those. It can help to see if you have the issues when not hosting, or playing solo

Mini mules everywhere.

For sobering up, man. All those mini mules were clearly a traumatic experience.
Backstory: I wanted to do something with the mini mules because they have such an awesome waddle. It fits right in with the classic piece by Grieg, so I had Axel, one of the coders, put in a button that allowed me to spawn several mini-mules at a time.
Then I spent a lot of time recording shots, then more shots, because I didn't have nearly enough. After that, rerecording shots when I realized I forgot to turn off the hud on a lot of them.
I think it turned out okay.
Indeed. I hope one of the future patches will be a "lore-patch". I would love to discover hidden lore while exploring the caves.
