Update 36 Console Launch - Fixed & Known Issues

Hi everyone,

For visibility, below are a list of issues that are fixed in today’s console patch of Firesong & Update 36; these will not be broken and will not be an issue on console:

[*] Buffs from Dragonknight Standard stacking
[*] Bank in Vastyr not having a guild store
[*] Siege weaponry not disappearing after getting destroyed
[*] Not getting properly ported out after placing the crown/gauntlet/staff during the quest “The Ivy Throne”
[*] Sulks-While-Fenced granting crafting materials after being pet
[*] Guild permissions not working
[*] Any unique game crashes seen during PC launch

Below are items that we expect to be an issue on console with today’s update and should be fixed in the next incremental patch:

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v2.38 (PS4)/v1.20 (PS5) and the final DLC in this year’s Legacy of the Bretons adventure: Firesong! In this update, you can explore the island of Galen and dive deep into the culture and histories of Tamriel’s druids. Apologies for the mix up here. We'll get the maintenance banner edited but we can confirm we are still launching Update 36 on consoles tomorrow and there will be a patch to download.

Thanks for the report! We'll work on getting this fixed, but in the meantime as a temporary workaround, you can try disabling the profanity filter if you have that enabled.

PC/Mac Patch Notes v8.2.6

The Elder Scrolls Online v8.2.6 fixes some additional game crashes introduced with the launch of Update 36, in addition to a fix for not being able to edit guild permissions, a fix for the delve boss in Embervine not respawning, a number of Firesong quest fixes, and more. The size of this patch is approximately 156MB.

This is a bug we're working on fixing - it wasn't an intentional change.



Will servers be coming down tonight for the fix?



No, we don't even have a fix implemented internally yet. It's still being worked on.



Sorry to bother, but is there any update on this bug? It's pretty detrimental to tanks as is.

Will there be a fix for this in Monday's incremental or do we need to wait for the one on the 28th (or later) for it?

Creative Director Message - Firesong & Update 36 Launch

Hi everyone,

Now that things have settled down a bit from Firesong’s PC/Mac launch, we wanted to thank everyone for your patience. It was a rougher than normal launch – especially on the stability side. Without sugar coating things, we dropped the ball – no excuses, we will do better in the future.

There is an incremental patch scheduled on Monday, November 14th for PC. This incremental has a number of important fixes in it, including the last of the known major crashes affecting PC. As a thank you for everyone being so patient with the stability issues, we’re going to give all players a free guar pet. To claim it, all you need to do is open the Crown Store and claim the Guar-Lizard Calf pet. It will be up for one week starting Nov 14th and available across all platforms (PC & Console).

Again, thank you all for your continued support and enjoy Firesong!

Hey @Kelinmiriel, thanks so much for the feedback. I let dev know and they want to thank you for noting this error and will change it for future events. That is indeed a typo. Unfortunately, the text won't be changed for the event. But we do want to make the clarifying note here that the boxes will not drop from Sunspire but will drop in Kyne's Aegis.
