Sorry everyone, this is a bug.

The missing Troop Types in PVP should be in the region restrictions as well so that was reported already and flagged that report again to the team this morning.

I’ve added on the issue with PVP Pets that give bonuses to Teams that aren’t currently used in PVP.

Nothing has changed that should have increased lag again.

We have client fixes coming to improve performance as well, but that means those improvements need to be in a game update and not something we can just push live unfortunately.

We’re still working on performance issues though, we haven’t closed this issue out.

As that role is a paid CM position (here we call it CX), it’s not legal to have a volunteer do it.

The best you can do is compile the feedback in the forum in one place where it’s easy for a staff member to grab the information, which is why we direct everyone to the forum to give game feedback.

The changes are planned to be in next week’s Journey event.
Still ironing out the details but we will put all the information about changes to Pathfinders and Journey into a blog post once those details are finalised.

As always, with any changes, we will be monitoring the game data and player feedback regarding the changes made and tweaking things further as necessary even after these changes go live.

So if it’s not perfect first time around, we will review it again before the next Journey event.

TLDR; Everything is a maybe and nothing is scheduled until we tell you if it’s accepted or rejected and give you a date - if you have no communication about the feedback assume there’s no answer and no date scheduled - this doesn’t mean we will be able to give you a yes/no answer or an eta if we just make the time to reply - the reply will be “we’ll consider it and we have no current plans” - this is not a yes or no, it’s an acknowledgement - we’re not going to spam every thread with this answer - you all hate it when we give the same answer over and over and it will take time away from other things we need to handle (like answering feedback and bug reports that do have solid answers).

Answers generally are given to an “audience” not 1:1 - and only for the biggest feedback points, we don’t have the time or capacity as humans to answer every piece of feedback we receive as there is A LOT.

I try to pass on major issues/feedback like this as quickly as possible while seeking more information. So for example, the screenshot was helpful from Dwuemka because it means I don’t need anyone to run server tests to get the info we need, but I was able to pass on what the community was saying before having this information.

It also means that as a team - if someone on the team sees the report and knows exactly what is happening, it means cutting time to look into it because the information reached someone who knew what part of the code/design to look at.

I will never withold important information from the team, and we continue to gather as much information as...

It’s possible these discrepencies are unintended (bugged).
The team are looking over it all at the moment and will get back to me once they find out why this discrepency exists.

Nobody has to fight about this. As I mentioned this is incomplete information about incomplete work that was pulled because of players data diving and grabbing game files.

I’ve mentioned that with the Troop rebalance there is also a Journey event review in the works as well.

We have always planned to make an official blog post about all of this with the details as well, but as none of this is finalised yet and the official news post isn’t written yet, and the community are arguing and posting about how worried they are, we had to come say something here early even though the work is ongoing.

Nope, I checked his PVP data, he has higher options than 50VP battles.

But that’s why the opponent screenshots would be helpful to help me point out the scaling better. I’ve passed this all on without screenshots though as well.

I took a look into this and from what I can see using the players in this screenshot:

Adrian is choosing all the battles with the highest VP rewards
ROB17 is choosing all the battles with the lowest VP awards

It does look balanced from the data I could see.
Because if ROB17 chose the harder battles this point gap either wouldn’t exist or would be much more narrow.

I’ve passed on the feedback about the point scaling according to hero level, but right now the big gaps I’ve looked into seem to be caused by the “easy” battles being chosen most of the time by the lower scoring player.

This is correct.
Generally the stats of the artifacts are based on the weekly event kingdoms, with occasional additional tweaks so that we don’t have an artifact that only gives Armor for example.

However, for this campaign there’s no Kingdoms that traditionally give Magic, and no tweaks were made, this was reviewed by the Designers and intended.

Hey all, sorry for how long it’s taken me to get back to you on this.

I’ve spoken to the team and we’re going to run another Sword’s Edge Kingdom event week soon so that you don’t have to wait the usual length of time for Sword’s Edge to come back around.

That way you can have access to all the things that were missing from the Sword’s Edge week including the Weapons in the Soulforge and the Starry Pet from the Epic Trial.

I don’t have a date yet for that week as the team are going to go and shuffle the schedule to see where they can fit it and run QA on it to make sure it all works first.

VPNs are allowed. The only thing is that depending on the VPN it may block your access to the game or chat (ie. if it’s a VPN for work or school)

Alternative theory, just to share a different perspective - they may have considered it at the time, and decided it was worth it.

Then, later on, after having everyone playing on it and lots of changes and new troops and content being added to the game as well as feedback received, decided it was something that needed to be changed.

We do have to regularly rebalance to account for things not being the same as when they released because the game is turning 10 this year :partying_face:

What was released in the past doesn’t all work forever.

Hey @Wolfchadren I guess I’m just confused, we respond to every bug report made on this forum and are active on our social media and other threads here on this forum as well.

If you look through threads made both before and after you created this thread you can see me actively communicating in a variety of threads from bug reports to feedback.

We also post multiple blog posts each week.

There were multiple responses to the UI and PVP feedback.

I suspect you have an issue or feedback request that you made personally that may not have received a direct answer rather than this being an overall communication issue like you’ve suggested?
