The team have just pushed out another minor improvement for the lag.
Lag is literally the worst when gaming, so I totally understand the frustration.
You still remained respectful while talking about the lag and voicing your frustration so you’re good.
Thanks again everyone so much for your patience while we keep working on this.
Heyas,
Looks like there’s an issue with Mydnight’s Duke/King of Terror bonuses rather than with Bone Puppy itself. I’ve reported it.
For Scarebear the Bonuses are applying but the Pet art isn’t displaying on the Mystic General Bonus. So it’s just a visual issue for Scarebear.
Here’s screenshots from my tests of my Mystic General Bonus:
Before acquiring Scarebear:
After acquiring Scarebear:
This is correct, if the Troop is the last Troop in the team, even if it is in slot 1, 2 or 3, and Terror triggers, the Troop will flee.
I’ll make a note to make sure that’s mentioned in the Help Center for the status effect as well.
Definitely still working on it though! Glad that one made a bit of a difference though
Sorry one rogue server hamster escaped momentarily but we got it back in the hamster wheel real quick when it happened.
We’ve pushed out a fix roughly 10 minutes ago that should have significantly reduced the lag.
This is still an ongoing task though as it hasn’t brought things down to their usual load times yet.
By hot seating, I think originally it literally meant different people jumping into the same PC chair to continue playing/doing something on the PC without pauses.
When I use it I mean players taking turns signing in to keep an account actively playing.
I am being looser with the term though because I would consider it hot seating even if it wasn’t 24/7 play, because obviously it would be a problem well before an account managed 24/7 play in GoW that we’d want to address before we had accounts getting to that crazy stage.
So we do have some players sharing logins (we super don’t advise this as it often ends up in account ownership disputes). But I haven’t really seen anyone playing competitively that way and I don’t often see it. I would definitely raise it as an important thing to address if it started affecting other players, and I know the team would agree with me because I remember having a conversation with the Producers about our stance on account sharing ...
Read moreOk, I found the logs, I also checked another player with the same issue.
I’m not going to completely rule out an issue with the Adventure Board on Xbox, but I would be keen to hear from more people when it happens in future.
After doing some digging, it looks like the connection got cut to the game while you were in those 2 battles.
Coincidentally there were local area outages for both of you reporting the issue when you both had the issue even though you’re not local to each other.
It is a big coincidence, both of you getting the same error message around the same time in the same game mode, both on Xbox and both having internet issues at the same time despite not being local to each other - but it’s not impossible.
So for now I have to rule it out as an issue with your ISP, but I’ve let the CX team know to keep an eye out for any more out of sync errors on Xbox in the Adventure Board so we can track any trends and patterns that emerge.
Bas...
Read moreSorry, the issue just has me intrigued, not saying it’s difficult (not even sure of difficulty level at this point). I’m being a nerd about it. Sorry because I know on your end you’re just exasperated by it happening again!
I’m looking into it anyway, will let you know if I need any more info or if I have any more info for you later.
Was there a battlecrasher in those 2 battles today for you?
I meant strange as in I can’t see the battle starting in your logs, which I’ve not had a problem with before. I was checking within the hour of you posting here, so I’m in the right time frame aren’t I?
Follow up question, this happened within the hour before you posted here hey?
Just want to make sure I’m checking the right time frame of your logs
Do you remember which battle it was on the AB exactly? (the position, like 2nd AB 1st battle for example) and did it happen on the same battle both times?
It’s super strange
Were you not even able to start the battle at all?
Because I’ve checked your account linked in your forum profile and I can see AB battles successfully played with no errors, battles started also submitted the results correctly to the game server. This basically means your Xbox went out of sync before the fact you tried to start a battle even got sent to the game server.
Or does the error happen in one of these places instead:
Any additional details you could provide about when and where the error message happened exactly would be great, thank you!
You’re right, I should have said from the Soulforge
I’m waiting to hear back about this, it was still under discussion and I’ve got no update yet.
We’ll definitely let you all know when there’s more info.
I’ll let you know once I have more info, I think the team are focused on PVP and the lag issues right now and will get around to this one in a bit.
Could you let me know your invite code? I’ll take a look to see what I can find.
I still need to read up but addressing the starting concern:
I mentioned in my post in the thread you quoted that we do not have a hot seating problem in Gems of War currently.
I’ve definitely seen cases of account sharing but never hot seating.
Also the account sharing thing is really not giving those players a real advantage as I’ve not really seen one competing at the level of those top solo players.
If hot seating does become a problem we’ll definitely look into it.
But my main message was, account sharing isn’t happening on the level anyone should be concerned about currently - we don’t have a hot seating problem unles...
If you’re still having this issue can you please explain it in more detail?
As we’ll need to look into it further.
