But... If all of them are going to be so heavy for my pc idk... Did... Could some optimization be closer to the center of attention on your table?

Also, we have a performance improvement fix for the last boss going out soon!

We will be hosting a Forum Chat with a few Episode 2 devs on the GW2 Official Forums on March 15-16. It will be a chance to ask more questions after you have had a chance to dig into the content more.

My favorite bug was sort of comically horrifying. Spoiler

Any update on the Mac client issue that the client reads a ton of data off the hard drive?

  • We were able to reproduce the problem.
  • We believe we've ruled out it being an asset loading and are exploring other potential sources.

Edit: English hard.

Hi Z and Team. Great episode.

Question for you Z, when will we get to see your armory?

Not Z, but I happened to see his inventory one day. Two things that stood out from the experience:

  • Z has way more in-game wealth than I do
  • Z's inventory organization made me feel sick

Do with this info what you will.

I just want to say, you did a fantastic job introducing a new charr tribe and new characters in this story. And that final boss battle is honestly my favourite one ever.

You made an episode that was just fun to play all the way through non-stop even when it wasn't instanced story events (i think previous episodes failed to do this).

Really well done, the most enjoyable living world episode yet, thank you for all your hard work.

Thank you! It was nice to be able to get to do something with an alternative char culture, and to give Rox something to do besides being someone's sidekick. :-)

Hey ANet, loved the new story and I can't wait to finish the new map events + achievements!

... which brings me to a question I've had for a long time.

Why are the point rewards for achievements so low these days? Does it have to do with post Pinnacle weapon and backpiece rewards not being done/envisioned yet? Thinking I'll have to wait literal years at this pace to wear the radiant backguard is really discouraging, and I'm in NA's top 10. Can anyone offer any insight on this at all?

With each episode or festival we offer a general allotment of points. The number of achievements and the difficulty of them vary from release to release.

OH MAN, BYFIELD. WE GOTTA TALK ABOUT THAT IT'S MY FAV SERIES

just wanted to give a compliment to the guys who designed all the inquest stuff and gave the asura in this episode very good characterisations in my opinion.

this is how I always imagined a inquest city/base would look like. big but on the inside intimidating, oppressive and confusing. whenever you used the inquest in the past they never had anything new. they always looked like the metrica province inquest.

love it that put in the extra mile to update the inquest as a whole!

Thanks! We really wanted the Inquest in this episode to feel a little more threatening and the environments a little creepier. Glad you enjoyed it!

API support was promised last AMA, 1 month later we got the dev promoted and API on hold again and so on as it happened many times before.

Will you ever acknowledge API is a very important thing for the community and actually, properly, meaningfully support it? Hiring a dedicated person, even as half-time job would be a great start.

API support is important to us because of the potential it has for community involvement. Just this morning the team met to triage a portion of the list of hot issues that have been plaguing the system recently. Mike Lewis and Ylan Salsbury have been monitoring the forums as well. If you have tickets in the github repository don't be surprised to see them come back with requests for more information to aid the devs in finding solutions.

We did a lot of things this episode that were a bit risky and pushed the capabilities of the engine. We have a bunch of moving platforms, story instances that transfer directly to other story instances, wind/magnet/gravity tech, and lots of player-specific open world stuff. QA had their work cut out for them and were total troopers.

Congratulations on the release, I'm absolutely loving it so far! The in particular is amazing and exactly the kind of lore development I love to see.

Are these AMAs going to continue for future episodes independent of the forum AMAs?

Oh, also, I found myself in the new JP and, without spoiling anything, even when I go to the correct console and click on the password, the game thinks I haven't and doesn't give me the option to use it on the elevator :(

The reddit celebrations (like today's) and the forum chats (like next week's) are relatively independent of each other - which is to say that we're not going to cancel one in favor of the other.

E.g. updates to WvW with new asura technology that could have been made since the last update there ?

Have you finished the episode? :-)
