Hey MisMagius,

When you crashed did you get an occurrence ID? Looking at our tracking, we haven’t seen any crashes caused by this issue after the patch, so you might be experiencing something different.

Either way I will look into your account now!

Thanks for the heads up!

Alright, lets try the next thing!

Can you log out of the Battle.net App, and then confirm that the Region you are connecting to via the Battle.net app is set correctly. This is located over the email input spot on the Battle.net login menu.

Hey atom!

Most often this is caused by your client connecting to the wrong region, so lets try something real quick. I know you said you tried changing Regions but I’m unsure if you were changing the region on the Battle.net App or in client, and want to try the in-client way real fast.

  1. Launch in to the game and get to the main screen.
  2. Once loaded, hit Esc then click Log Out.
  3. When you get to the login screen, check in the lower left hand corner that the region set is correct for where you live. If not, change this.
  4. Once that Region box is correct, log in.

Let me know if that doesn’t fix your problem!

I think there are pros and cons to having baseline quests. From a high level, I think they’re cool and good for the game, but have be used very sparingly because they very heavily control what that hero wants to do until the quest is completed, which can easily warp gameplay in a negative way.

In my mind, the pros are:

  1. Games with baseline quest heroes tend to tell better stories and have more variety. Since the quest is done at a different point in each game, there is a feeling of success or failure depending on how well the player does, which makes those games more interesting.

  2. Having a clear moment of a power spike feels good.

  3. The change in mentality for the player and their opponents of a quest-compete vs. non quest-complete version of a hero can make them feel a lot different to play with and against, which adds more variety to those games.

  4. It feels good as an opponent to deny quests from being compl...

This is actually a bug and was not intentional!
I didn’t have time to get it in for this patch, but it is fixed in the next one. Sorry about that!

As to your question about specific details, here is some info:
We have work to do on both the strategic layer and the tactical layer. In a game like Heroes, these two things are very connected as well, which complicates things, as you might imagine.
Strategy wise, your example of defending the core (and assaulting an enemy core) properly is hi...

Hi DreamTeam!

This is definitely a valid concern, thanks so much for bringing it up and for the feedback in general.
We did recently change all levels of AI to more correctly execute on map objectives and goals, which accounts for what you are seeing in your beginner games. So it is expected, if not ideal in this case.

Having a good experience no matter the level of AI you choose to play against is definitely important to the team though, so this concern is on our radar. We have some knobs in place for adjusting AI behavior at the different difficulty levels… I will see if any of these can be leveraged to help with this situation. We are currently focused on longer term, systemic issues we have with AI, so tuning all the difficulty levels correctly is further down our list of priorities, unfortunately.

Thanks!

I couldn’t agree more. It’s a very big deal, and my top priority. Keep sending in reports, replays, information about what you were doing, who you were playing against, and all that. It’s very helpful. The more data we have the better we’ll be able to find the root cause and get a fix out so you can get back to playing.

Today’s patch brings Metal back to Mac. There are a few known issues including early game stuttering and black render halos which we are working to resolve now. We have seen performance significantly improve over time, even between restarts of the game and of the OS. Please play it, give it a few games to smooth out, and let us know your experience. Thanks!

Hello!
Thanks for this report. This is a known issue that we are working on a fix for right now.
Sorry the alert can be somewhat annoying, but it should be safe for you to ignore for now.

I would expect the stalls to return for a time after changing graphics quality settings, with the same effect of it getting better over time. Depending on how macOS is managing its Metal cache, the stalls may or may not return after switching back to previous settings.

Hey Gdubbs!

Thanks so much for checking that out for me!

I’d love to look in to this and if I could ask you for one more thing, would you mind sending me your variables.txt file to the email address outlined in this thread

You can find this file in your Library/Application Support/Blizzard/Heroes of the Storm folder.

Hey IvanYu!

I just popped in client to check this out and everything appears to work just fine for me. Are you sure you were using the Repeater Cannon weapon and not Phase Bomb and you were attacking Heroes?

If so, could you send me a video of this or pass a replay along to the email address listed in this forum post
