One of our pillars for the game is the unique take on the BR formula with our Hacks, the Decay, Fusion, Showdown, and the Echo system.

From my feedback analysis over the day so far, many people feel a lot of the Hack cooldown changes diminished the Hack system in general and makes Hyper Scape feel like just another BR. I am trying to make sure I am being as clear as possible with that the community as a whole feels what was done correctly and what needs to be rolled back slightly.
For example, most players seem to agree with the changes that were done to Mine and Heal. I would like to see a bit more information regarding issues with the other changes that were. done (Like to Wall, Slam, Teleport)

Why do you keep saying newer players? you mean people who don't play so say that. this game is too new to have a newer player category.

New players as in players who don't necessarily play the BR/arena shooter type games. Sorry if that is confusing!

Oh, I completely understand that!! We all just want what is best for the game and for it to do well.

It’s better to have a strong dedicated fan base than a weak larger fan base. Look at super smash bros melee, and halo 3 as example. Games are decades old no updates and still have a consistent fan base of die hard fans. Don’t not try and be a jack of all trades. It’s better to be a master at one thing

As a Melee fan/competitor myself, grassroots communities are powerhouses for sure!

the cooldown changes are great. just revert the weapon buffs.

Do you think any of the weapons pre-patch needed any nerfs in particular? How did you feel about the state of the Protocol?

mammoth should not 1 shot. no weapon should 1 shot. its by far the biggest issue. I would also lower the damage buff to the ripper.

Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, its just that I felt like my constructive criticism related to the state of the game after the patch can be seen in pretty much every other post related to the patch so I thought I should take a slightly different approach.

No problem!

Hey everyone! We have been keeping a close eye on Aim Assist discussions internally since the very beginning. Although I don't have a specific update to share at the moment, I can at least confirm that the dev team is exploring options at this time. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on aim assist!

As a side note, the level 0 display is most likely a visual bug and has been reported to the team.
As for cheating in general, we just pushed our blog post out today!

As someone with 80+ hours, 100+ wins, around an average damage of 1,300 and kills/per match at around 7, I don't entirely hate the weapon balance changes. It's those, combined with the harsh nerfs to the cooldowns that really making fighting against numbers infinitely harder now. I'm sure you've heard all of this 1,000,000 times by now, but I thought I'd add my two sense. Considering you can now get away from death around 30% less often with the nerfed cooldowns, getting hit by a random 67 from a Skybreaker, or Sniper, makes it almost certainly mean you're going to die. Playing solo squads makes this unbearable. That random unaccounted for damage, from a third party or unknown enemy, would mean that you die in every single BR, except this one! With all the tools the Hacks give you with their fairly short cooldowns, the better players are able to get away from those "certain death" situations you encounter in all other BRs. All in all, I think it's less about the TTK, and more about...

Thank you for your thoughts! I can totally see how all of these changes at once could be overwhelming and kind of suffocating for some players. Although I've been reading a ton of comments, I still appreciate your two cents regardless!

I know I may have overreacted in my post, but I really think that the strong point that this game has against other BRs is the skills giving so much movement and opportunities, and the fact that you were able to recover and overcome some fights because TTK before was fine, you just needed to aim properly.

Right now I feel the game too RNG in terms of positioning yourself and not being the one that gets shoot first. It's also frustrating that the D-Tap has the potential to get you so low so easily. And the buff to the weapons, maybe I would've preferred buffing only the Hexfire and the Ripper, but giving weapons like the Protocol V and the Riot One a decreasing damage over distance, to prevent being shot across the map.

And thank you for taking your time listening and reading to us. It's nice on your part to let us see that you...

Thanks for the info!
I agree that a huge aspect of the game is how movement is really important to the game. I personally really liked the idea of giving the Protocol damage drop off and keeping the 1 hit kill at a closer range. I think the same would have to be applied to the Riot as well, as you can see more players picking up the Riot One now after the nerfs to the Protocol and a damage buff to it.

SBMM doesn’t seem to be a great idea, it could make the game frustrating instead of fun, and there will be a lot of smurfs accounts.

Just look at MW2019 and how their community complains. I personally think if a bad player wants to progress he will have to do it by the hard way.

Typical SBMM wasn't the suggestion they were trying to make. They were suggesting a split system where higher skilled players were in one group, and everyone else was in a different group. This way lower-skilled players could play against each other and not get pub stomped by higher elo players.

I think this patch was the right direction for the game. Escape abilities began to detract from the gameplay a tinge and for instance mine was becoming a bit too staple in people's kit despite it being a basically passive gameplay feature. For anyone to say a moderate reduction to these factors reduces the skill ceiling or ability to enjoy 'core gameplay' is just hysterical.

I didn't like everything (Skybreaker damage buff with Protocl damage nerf) but it's clearly an overall positive change and I will be playing the game more rather than losing interest. I'm convinced of the positive direction of this patch enough to bother writing a comment appraising it.

Thanks for your thoughts! We did get a lot of feedback that certain hacks like Invis and Mine were irritating to fight against. I personally think the Mine changes were fairly spot on regarding frustrations that were painted by the community. I know a lot of players are definitely upset with the Protocol changes and I am making sure that is explained in my feedback notes.

Number 1 meaning the most talked about issue with the patch. I am still going through posts, but that and the fact that the game no longer feels unique to some players overall are my top topics I've found so far. Apologies for the confusion!
