How do you access the rewards if you bought on steam? Are they just in the cosmetics tab?

It depends on what exactly you have in mind;

  • The Cosmetic Coins will be shown in the store when that has been implemented.
  • The Juvenile Skullen is available from the Cosmetics tab (the default keybind is K).
  • The Ardent Gladiator badge is available on Last Epoch's official forum.
  • The soundtrack will be available in-or-around release. It's being worked on alongside the game.

Honestly, the game is so much more polished than even Diablo 3 at launch, so kudos on that!

There's very few cases where someone would own the game but not a supporter pack; for example, anyone who buys the game through Steam owns the $35 Ardent Gladiator supporter pack (contents listed here).

Hey all, I just want to give you guys some insight and thank you for continuing to report cases where you see issues like this.

Fading objects between the camera and the character requires that we tag the objects that will fade and is a somewhat manual process. This is required as it's an artistic decision what should and should not fade. In certain cases we don't find all of them, even with testing, or we don't get to quite all of the backlogged ones in time if there are higher priority issues on our level designer's plates before a patch release.

We'll continue to address these and hopefully we can squash 99% of this issue before we release 1.0.

We aren't currently offering a release estimate (even a year). We want to take the time to do Last Epoch right, our company has more resources than ever before, and we'll leave Early Access when we feel the game is ready. Our Game Director posted about this here.

Shadows and echoes are implemented very differently.

Even if it were like shadows, I’m not sure how we would do warpath. Being both a channeled and movement skill, the target acquisition and updating to be effective would be nuts. This is the rabbit hole that we end up going down when trying to make it work. How long does it hold the channel for? The check for echoes happens when you initially cast the skill. So does it have a fixed duration? That ends up with people tapping warpath instead of holding it. It probably shouldn’t be right on top of you because it’s already fairly noisy. Does it go the opposite direction of you to avoid? Does it simply spin in place? What if you have the no move node?

This list of problems with it goes on and on. I don’t want to say that we’ll never do it but unless a really crazy awesome solution is found to fix this and more, we likely won’t spend dev time on it pre-1.0

We typically release content patches about once every two months; our most recent is from December so we don't have another ready to go just yet. We are currently planning on releasing a smaller update, Patch 0.8e, which we'll likely deploy sometime next week.

Reducing the cooldown by small amounts does make a big difference, but not because of the rounding, which only affects the tooltip.

The small changes are significant because the cooldown starts as soon as you use Dancing Strikes and there’s around a 0.18 second delay before the movement (reduced by attack speed) and the movement itself lasts about 0.4 seconds, so while a 0.1 sec cooldown reduction may only reduce the overall cooldown by around 14%, it’s reducing the time between the end of the movement and the skill coming off of cooldown by over 80% in many cases.

These are really cool, Winton. A lot of your Void armor designs have a cool ‘mutation’ vibe, mixing the void and the idea of monster elements inside of them.
