The Saves folder is in the same place as your log file.
This would probably mean you couldn’t ever move a character from SSF to normal. Hypothetically, would you want to be able to move a character from SSF to normal? (one way trip) I’m not saying you will or won’t be able to do this, just curious what you guys think about it.
Dragged myself out of bed.
Chat should be available again. Changing zone might help, but you’ll probably need to restart the game client. Apologies for the inconvenience. In Patch 0.8 we’ll be completely replacing our in-game chat system - both the code and infrastructure will be brand new.
Thanks for the report!
I’ll probably just remove them from there as I can’t imagine a large number of them looking good in that position. I may revisit it in future, but it’s the most practical short-term solution.
Thanks for the details. I’ve been able to reproduce this issue internally, and we will be working on a fix to include in our next content patch.
Unfortunately, the reason this has happened is because your Stash data became corrupted, and the game is failing to load it. We will add a failsafe to allow the game to continue if this happens, and will do our best to determine what is causing the save data loss. I’m very sorry about the loss of progress.
In the meantime, you can delete the 2 following files from your Saves folder, which will allow you to load a character:
Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta
Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta_temp
Again, my apologies for this issue and we will be investigating this further.

Could you please attach your graphics .ini file to a new post in this thread? You can attach it to a forum post using the button. The file can be found in this location;
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch
Thanks for the report!
Does this persist after a client restart? I wouldn’t expect so, but it’d be great to know for certain.
Thank you for the report!
We’ve identified the root cause of this issue and hope to include a fix for it in Patch 0.8.
Thanks; I’ve removed that section.
Thanks for the detailed follow-up-- apologies for the lack of a response. We’ll continue to work on performance issues as development continues, and having information like this is quite helpful.
I’m, very sorry about the slow response here-- it seems this report was in the wrong section.
If this is still an issue could you please contact us via our support website as this relates to an account issue? Make sure to include a screenshot and your log file.
The beta is available at all times, there aren’t any limits.
Sorry about the slow response!
If you encounter any further crashes, please do upload your log files again, and check if the end of the file mentions a location for crash reports so you can upload those as well. Your system information is also helpful.
Thanks!
I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue, and apologies for the slow response.
Could you describe how the game froze/crashed? If the game closed itself there should have been a crash report, but if the window froze and the “Not Responding” dialogue came up there might not be any crash reports.
Regardless of the crash reports in the temp folder, it’s very helpful to provide your log files and ...

If anyone else is encountering this, please upload both your log file and system information. Thanks!
