Apologies, everyone. This is a bug. Older, work in progress names somehow overrode the real names. We'll get this fixed ASAP.

Gotta give /u/RiotAugust work to do somehow...

yeah its something we really want to do on Champs team as well.

Really don't get what riots balancing vision is for Senna. Whenever fasting is meta, they nerf it and then buff adc. As soon as the adc version is better, they nerf it and buff fasting. Seems like an endless loop of buffs and nerfs.

Pretty sure the vision is ultra simple: both should be viable but not OP. IDK why folks have a hard time with this lol

Here is a word cloud from 2017 that illustrates this more. The survey asked players what their favorite champions were. Left is male players and right is female players

Yeah, Teemo/Jhin/Veigar/Rakan are at the top, with Teemo being far ahead of Jhin/Veigar/Rakan

Or, hear me out, it's a very simple balancing lever which they use.

this. Similar to adjusting jungle damage numbers on Ekko or Base AD on Graves

We aren't abandoning half our playerbase by making more female Champions. Our data shows that female players primarily play female champions, in fact its something like 97% of female players only play female champions. Male players are evenly spilt between male and female champions, so Male players play 50/50 between male and female champions, If anything whenever we make a male champion we are abandoning most of our female players, since most of our female players won't play male champions at all.

Most LT adc users (non kog/twitch) have literally LESS WIN RATE THAN THE AD ASSASINS they wanted to buff lmao.

Because Xayah, Jinx and others really needed that triple nerf while being just average you know.

ADC winrates have little to do with assassin winrates. There's an ADC on both teams in nearly every game, making their winrates mostly based on their matchups vs each other.

If every ADC in the game had a 50% winrate they could still be strong or weak as a class compared to the other classes.

I appreciate the reply but I have to be honest with you man I don't think anyone plays assassins to do any of that, especially stuff like backstabbing turrets and vision denial (traditionally a support responsibility). People play assassins to pull off cool combos, be threatening/scary for the enemy team, and to play the map deftly/cunningly to get quick kills, I think if you go in these directions the class will never recover popularity wise. Just my 2 cents and not trying to sound overly critical. I don't think that burst patterns are as problematic as you guys seem to have recently concluded, and I would caution against taking what gets upvoted on this sub as representative of the playerbase as a whole

I think there are some players who will always be see champ kill champ. That's fine if they want to play the game that way. There are plenty of others who enjoy engaging in other types of gameplay.

There are lots of directions to go, but we'd test it to make sure different types of assassin players like the things we're offering.

There's some harvester buffs that should help Nida and Elise. Eve gonna be a little weaker (though still fine) for a patch.

We need to do a bit of crafting around what types of strengths different classes are meant to have from a holistic perspective. Some of these can overlap. For example:

  • Perhaps assassins are meant to be the fastest class in the midgame.
  • Or perhaps they're meant to have a lot of vision denial tools.
  • Maybe they're meant to be really good at backstabbing turrets periodically if they can escort the wave in without being hit.
  • Maybe they're meant to have different types of vision or map control tools
  • Maybe assassins are meant to be really stealthy ;) (I know how much reddit likes stealth), etc.
  • Maybe there are meant to be different types of objectives that assassins are specifically better at interacting with, etc.

Lots of possibilities here that make them different from bruisers

We still intend to do some form of the changes, especially to address the fighter item issue. Just going to see how 12.11 lands first and re-evaluate how we're going to give the power back (which may not be burst).

It's actually paper! I printed the texture on sheets of cardstock and used Pepakura to create a foldable template of the blades. After assembling them, I placed them over some toy swords I got from the store!

I already saw the second image somewhere. Now I have the oportunity to tell you directly that it's a really really well done costume! I love it, congrats!
Guess it's my turn now, so Here it is. I's made in two parts, so we can open/close the mouth while laughing at people that will never be able to play with us anymore! Sadly I don't have any pic from inside the mask, but I can guarantee you that it looks as good as yours, LOL.

Wow that's awesome! It's always been an issue not being able to speak very clearly while wearing the costume. If I ever remake the mask, I'm definitely going to consider designing it like that!

Meeting another scary demon jester is always fun too, clone shenanigans time :D

In my experience, it's very rare to see another Shaco at a convention, so it's always a surprise to see one! You can check out this album if you want to see my costume in full or the mask in detail. Happy jesting!

I made this costume a long time ago, back when Shaco had his old splash art and different colors for his gloves, eyes, and daggers. Here's an album of the photo I use on Twitter and Reddit, a shot I made for a contest, as well as a view of the inside of the mask. I just took a pair of sunglasses, removed their lenses and sort of taped them into place!

Oops typo, weak early games are harder to punish when durability goes up.

Comment

This was intentionally not changed for 12.10. As people have pointed out, it's not as simple as "compensate for durability". A lot of 12.10 made it so weak early games are harder to punish, so there's a lot of pros/cons of making early minion trades equally punishing.

We're keeping an eye on these types of things and are open to following up as needed. For your dragon/herald question, it (oversimplified) ended being that the "compensation" buffs would be overall miniscule for the early game durability and more importantly the tension on these objectives is the amount of time you're in 1 area forcing a fight than the actual damage you take.
