Hasnt it been like 2 years or smthg since Rito supposedly put together a dedicated team to improve the client? Its without a doubt way worse than at that time.
I don't think there has been a truly dedicated team to fixing these types of things until recently. There have been teams in the past working on it, but it wasn't their priority to make it better per say. The client has gone down hill because we've kept adding to it rather than making it stable :/
Ah, I thought that was part of the bug. Crashes are rare for me, but the hang ups are real.

That dude sounds like a jerk. If you just want to play bot games just play bot games. There's nothing pathetic or weird about it. If playing PVP makes you anxious and playing bot games makes you feel good, then you should be playing bot games.
Most of my games in Legends of Runeterra are bot games, so I bet it's not as uncommon as you'd think. It might be hard to brush off because when someone comes at you like that it makes you feel bad, like there's something wrong with you. But you're not the one insulting strangers on the internet, you're not the one who should feel bad here.

Just the bonus part. (Fun fact: in Korea, due to some of their laws and regulations, we don’t give “bonus” virtual currency. Instead, they’ll get ~10% increase on the base amount. The more you know!)

I will check with the support team on Monday. On one hand, what you see in the client is what you get. But on the other hand, a reasonable person might think something additional happens after paying for it based on the original promotion dates. I would recommend writing a ticket and including the article mentioning the promotion dates.

Hey /u/TSM_Vegeta ! I wish I saw this earlier when it was trending more. The “double bonus RP” promo was pushed back by a week, should be running the first week of July, starting afternoon-ish PST (at least, that’s what’s on my calendar. Blaustoise is a hilarious dude. He worked player support once and wouldn’t unban be because I flamed a 0-1-0 Jungle garen that did 486 damage to enemies in a 40 minute game. I genuinely believe our observer is the best in the world. The entire crew genuinely love observing and as a caster, being given additional stories that I miss while yelling a lot helps so much. <3 you obs

I'm curious, what do you guys manage during your release?
When a patch is still in dev mostly making sure everything gets into the patch build safely and stabilizes on PBE. We work with each of the different dev teams if they need help getting any specific fixes in, or triaging the best way to go about implementing a fix. We coordinate with testing partners, release and live production folks in Tencent and Garena, making sure the build is ultimately stable for the different regions globally. We then are the ones pushing buttons to get the new patch onto Live servers for Riot regions, and we monitor health on live and are kind of the shepherds and gatekeepers for devs getting fixes to Live safely during the life of the patch. Overall it's a weird mix of product and people management, live production, and a some QA skills.
