It was actually working for a bit yesterday

I think this is debatable. For example, Vladimir heals even when his Q is spell shielded. I think the idea of "I get my selfish buff even if I don't get to do anything to you" is reasonable against spell shields. That sad, I feel like "I now auto you" is more of an enemy-effect than a self-effect.

But teamwork > skill has rang true for years now. Like sure, you want your players to have a certain level of skill if you want to challenge the top positions, but ultimately the team needs to work as a unit. If they don't, no amount of individual skill will make up the difference in modern LoL.

Yes, they have insane teamwork. But also great players.

Only the jungler is the best in the world and even that is debatable. If you put all of those 5 players on seperat teams, most of them will look good but not worldclass.

Who's better than Crisp? Who is even in the conversation???

It's a very underrated item imo

FPX would disagree with that.

The team with the best support in the world, best jungler in the world, and one of the best midlaners in the world?

lmao people blaming Upset even though Nukeduck and Xerxe are f*cking useless

Well, I can't say that I vote along those same lines but I appreciate the explanation. Thanks for responding!

For sure, I hope you and your family are well in all the chaos. Enjoy playoffs!~

Any particular reasoning for Froggen and aphromoo for 2nd team? You're literally the only person who voted for them anywhere.

Absolutely. I had to make changes at the end of my ballet and I missed that Aphro should be Ignar. Huhi is correct. I was incredibly impressed with his play and be it recency bias huhi is someone Id put over others on the 3rd all pro cause I weigh (performing highly when your team needs you, what overall effect did you have on the team and wins, and stats comparison to separate any head to heads)

*Froggen choice- editing this in. I love Jizzuke but his tendency to ham it up in plays makes me want a more focused mid like Froggen. Large unique champion pool, plays well under pressure and put up decent stats while compeletely winning a few games for his team this split. I also chose to not go Bjerg anywhere because I like the team dynamic these two create much more. Stats for mid still came into play but team synergy and playstyle is a big weight for me in mid. Part of me still waffles on switching poe and froggen, this sh*t is tough lol

There is no doubt I favor diffe...

Promos are f*cking stupid even without Riot intentionally stacking the odds against you, no idea why it happens

Yeah the "new champ winrate goes up with time" argument doesn't hold water here because there was literally 1 new thing to learn (his E). The rest is old Fiddlesticks+ ghost poro. The playerbase isn't going to slowly bring his wr% up, if anything it goes down as effigy's become easier to spot.

The latter point is definitely valid and was a possibility we considered pre-ship, but early data has indicated that's unlikely at this point.

The other thing to think about is that even though there might not be as much to learn on this VGU as there is on a new champ, considering the amount of people playing him now vs. pre-rework, he might as well be a new champion for a lot of them. There's a lot of knowledge soak you can take in on how Fiddle is supposed to play that doesn't exist for new champs, which is worth something because I don't expect his playstyle has changed all that much, but we're still seeing the early WR climb we'd expect on any new champ.

but this ISNT a new champion... this is the smallest VGU we've gotten yet. Honestly I'd argue the wukong rework was more of a new champion than the fiddles rework is.

His W is the samething but AoE... His ult? same thing... his Q? Same thing but tuned differently (and with a spooky passive)... E? Okay, that's new but it's still got an AoE silence just now its a skillshot rather than a point and click bounce... and his passive? Completely different BUT! super low portion of his powerbudget eitherway.

The changes might not seem drastic, but the big thing here is that there are at least 12x people playing him this patch as compared to pre-rework (super imprecise numbers, forgive me), and for them it's basically a new champ. FWIW most people already have an idea of how Fiddle is supposed to play since it's a lighter VGU and not an entirely new kit, but there's still some mechanical execution for even experienced players to pick up e.g. doing two camps at the same time.

Agreed, we have enough fast-paced hero shooters, let's get some more tactical ones.

We have both too many hero shooters and too many tactical shooters

Super sorry you don't think last years MVP had a lot to do with EG getting a good position this split. Everyone on C9 was amazing... This was my all-pro team, not yours, not sure how people don't understand this. I'm not here to make unanimous votes for players unless I feel it so.

It is like Blizzard WoW test team all over again, having no players capable of clearing high end content and releasing unbeatable/undertuned stuff.

He's been out for 2 days. Every new champion goes through a period of learning where their average winrate increases over the course of ~ week. There are a few exceptions to this like Neeko, where it was harder to learn to play against her than play as her - her winrate on release remained pretty consistent and slightly declined over the week.

Imma be honest, I don't like the forced narratives presented by quickshot. While it does make for a more interesting story, it can get excessive at times. How many times are we gonna hear "playing with their food" or " Kings/king slayers"?

Those lines aren't for everyone, but they do resonate with many, and also work as great sound bytes that clearly explain in an easy to understand statement touching on history, communal understanding, current context. In some form or another, these sorts of lines will exist in any serialized competitive event. I for one love them :P Obviously, but I hope you can see the value in them even if you just don't like the exact phrase.

Also genuinely thanks for the feedback today throughout the series. It was a difficult cast because of so many factors and I spent time between games reading post match threads, and digested what I could, tried to get a feel for what some of the audience was feeling both positive and negative and integrated it with Yamato into our casting. Overall I feel happy with the show we put on and only wish that in game, Yamato and I revisited the MAD Lions dark horse for playoffs a few more times. I think we told the player performance story and rookies t...

I feel like funding isn't an issue if you can afford Marvel Comics, Imagine Dragons, many, many, many animation studios and the like. Even in the musical department on trailers Riot seems to cast only top tier composers whenever they outsource.

You’re absolutely right. The reality is that when players engage with things like skins, they’re not just supporting future skins, but a much broader ecosystem of experiences.
