Ok thanks guys, guess I just got a bit unlucky then. Follow up question: I find a lot of articles about the ingame economy that seem to be out of date, can you recommend a source for info about the game that is updated with patches?

Yeah, overall ~20% of the quest pool is composed of 1500 XP quests, though the quests you actually get are true random so you can see some good or bad luck along the way. Re-rolls are always random too, though you can't roll another copy of a quest you already have.
RE: the economy, I don't have a link on hand to anything at the moment, but generally the economy has been the same since patch 1.0. Did you have any specific economy questions that I might be able to answer?
Your logic makes sense, it was probably related to the Deep quest then, the weird thing is that I've been playing since the open Beta and I play this game almost every day and in plenty of those games I had less than 15 cards and I never saw that Deep effect on me, I never used a Deep deck before, this is actually the first time I saw the Deep effect on me which is weird.
I guess the Deep effect got triggered on me because of the Deep quest then.
Hmm, I don't think it is likely the quest itself, but something else going on. The Deep quest listens to see if you are Deep (we track that status even if you have no Deep cards in your deck at the moment). But, if you could submit a bug ticket to Player Support that would be great!
Was concerned, then saw tag and sighed a sigh of relief
They had me in the first half for sure
Thanks for the feedback. Looking through your post I can say that the team is aware of all of your points. Thanks again!
Amazing. I love it.
How was work there? How does it relate to working on Runeterra? Is there anything from Yugioh you would like to have something similar to in Runeterra, or anything in Yugioh you'd like Runeterra to avoid?
With the differences in print vs digital, and LoR's fresh approach to not selling packs, what relates most are the general game development skills: player focus, production management, international aspects, etc.
Continue to use the strength of the IP in fun ways, the ability to have memorable got'ya/mastermind moments while playing, and continue to explore how we strengthen and buildup a playing community.
What we avoid are a lot of the things we wanted to improve about TCGs in general - regular balance updates, avoidance of costly price-to-entry on a good deck, not designing a bunch of filler cards that don't have a home in a deck.
Wait, we? You used to work in Upperdeck/Konami of America?
I appreciated that this was noticed 2 months later. :)
The only thing I'm going to miss is eating him with rimefang wolf as soon as he was put down. Other than that I'm happy for Poro decks.
It always bothered me that braum was affected by wolves more than say darius. braum spends ALL DAY FIGHTING WOLVES
Hi,This was a topic we did a lot of consideration on. The game has timeout protection in only two places, during patching and during matchmaking. These two screens met the criteria of (a) it is a non-interactive event and (b) it comes to an end after a set time all on it's own.
During a game (b) is not a guarantee. Vs AI games are not timed at all. In PvP, maybe your opponent is doing some Cloud Drinker combo shenanigans. We didn't want to leave your phone vulnerable to battery drain or to security issues because you set it down in the middle of a Vs AI game and forgot about it. In general, LoR's round structure also makes it very interactive, and for those time where your opponent may be thinking, we instead focused on giving you more interactive things to do, like petting your Guardian or sending your favorite emote for that situation. (Are you a Heimer, Quinn or Gangplank? Quinn is my favorite.)
Hope understanding our philosophy on this gives you some context abo...
