I am seeing Revoker in the deckbuilder when my deck is set to Explorer, and I am able to queue up in Explorer with a deck containing Revoker. What indication are you seeing that it's not legal?

"These can replace a common rarity card in MTG Arena Store packs—which means it is possible to get more than one rare or mythic rare in a pack."
The BRR Mystic Forge is indeed mythic, but your BRO rare can also potentially be mythic, and these two slots are rolled independently. What you're seeing in the packs screen during pack opening is that the highest rarity card is getting sorted up to that center "slot." You should still have a BRO rare in each pack.
Hmm. It's probably nothing.
They should have worked exactly like Strixhaven's Mystical Archive, replacing a common slot rather than the uncommon/rare like they currently do.
Just Hasbro being greedy again, I guess.

Please note that the screenshot from this thread includes two rares and two uncommons.
Why am I getting Retro Artifacts in my BRO packs?

Just looked into this - due to a data snafu these packs won't unlock until 4pm PST today. Sorry about that!
Key Note: This is the one (and only) card from the Retro Artifacts that won't be legal in Historic.
There are some other potentially spicy cards that we'll be keeping an eye on, but, like with Strixhaven's Mystical Archive, we're starting off by only acting on cards we know will be a problem (like this one).
Yes, exactly this.
Will you be adding more quest variety anytime soon? It would be nice to gain life, mill cards, put counters etc. Something to spice it up a little.
We experimented with things like this back in beta, and we found that it was very easy to make quests that created frustrating games. We had a "Make 30 thopter tokens" quest, for example, that lead to people playing frustrating token spam decks with no real wincon just to complete the quest quickly.
I agree with you that "spice is nice", and we're interested in other ways to get there, but there are no current plans to shift up the quests.
You know you've played Arena since Beta when you read something like this and think "that's awesome!" and then immediately get nervous and start looking around for the catch. Packs are still 1K gold, right? Quests and daily win rewards are the same, right?
No catch, no other systems or prices are changing. Pack prices, WC track, quests, etc. all stay the same.
Does this count for single packs bought?
Yes, think of it like a value card from a coffee or sandwich chain - every purchase gets you a stamp on your card, get 10 stamps and you get a Golden Pack
This claims all of the cards will be from the current Standard set, while the latest WotC news said
1(correction: 2) from BRO and the rest from any Standard set. I suppose we'll have to wait for a WotC confirmation to get the exact details on this.
All duplicate protected, as normal for packs. (For nitty-gritty: Duplicate protection here is working across all of Standard, not on a per-set basis. If you have all of BRO, then the 2 slots there will pull from the rest of Standard. No gems until you're totally rare complete across Standard.)
(We're reaching out to get that article adjusted)
I'm assuming there's going to be an instant ban list for Historic like for the archives? If so, when would we find out about it?
We plan to make that clear as cards are previewed, much like we did with Strixhaven.
Have there been any discussions regarding the length of the timers? Alternatively, is the team happy with the current timer length and how additional timeouts are granted?
We talk about the timers regularly. They're serving many different goals (keeping play moving, allowing players time to understand unfamiliar cards, allowing reasonable time to reconnect from a dropped connection, etc.). Overall, we think the current system is doing a decent job of balancing these sometimes competing goals, though we're always open to looking for net improvements.
So this pretty much confirms we’re not getting the Brother’s War Archive cards like we did with Strixhaven’s. What a huge bummer.
I wish they would just come out and clearly state “this IS or ISN’T coming to Arena” when they initially announce stuff.
Those cards ARE coming to Arena, just like with Strixhaven
Re: Golden Pack: I hope they have the same rare protection as a normal pack (you can't open a mythic/rare if you have 4)? Great pack if so, meh pack for many if not.
Yes, these are duplicate protected much like normal packs
Even something like a 7 day ban for people who are repeating offenders.
People who intentionally rope do get banned, but they have to be reported. As far as I know (I could be wrong), WotC doesn't automatically detect ropers.
We do automatically detect ropers, and we temp-to-perma ban a number of them each month (depending on the depravity of their roping behavior). This is fairly easy to detect in data, and we tend to rely on that more than player reports, which can be subject to abuse & bias (turns out blue players gets disproportionately reported, even when they’re not abusing timers; who could have guessed?)
Does it seek two spells that each have a mana value of three or two spells with a total mana value of three?
Good thing I get pings for replies, haha!
It seeks two spell cards with with mana value 3 (for a total of 6 mana value assuming you hit for both). #wotc_staff
There was an issue causing players to become stuck at the "Waiting for Server" message when attempting to enter the Post Malone event. We have temporarily disabled this event to get the matter resolved and will have it back up and running as soon as possible. Our apologizes for any inconveniences and we thank you for your patience.
They're bringing back the chromatic cube but only for 2 days?
The main Cube run will last until the 15th. I think that entry and the Midweek Magic entry - which does end after 2 days, because that's how MWM works - got crossed up.
