Greetings Adventurers,

2021 was an incredible year for New World and we appreciate all the support and encouragement we receive from our community. As the holidays rapidly approach, some of the New World team will be taking some time to spend with their families and loved ones. Please be patient while awaiting non-critical (critical meaning things like maintenance notices, service outages, or updates) communication from us as the team will be operating at reduced capacity.

We hope you all are able to take some time with your friends, family, and loved ones this season as well. We look forward to an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to continue working with our players to see New World grow.

The issue in US East has had broad impact on some, but not all, world instances. There are engineers attempting mitigation right now, but we do not have a timeframe yet for when the impacted worlds will be back up.

That is the site we use to review what happened and why. It’s not updated yet because the issue from today is still active, but it should be updated soon after resolution.

Thanks a lot for the report!

I’m sorry the you have encountered issues while trying to craft and fast travel. Have you tried the following?:

1. Run a Steam Integrity Check for New World.
2. Make sure that your Windows install is fully up to date with no update pending.
3. Reboot System.
4. Uninstall and Reinstall New World.
5. Reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat .

There is a service issue in US East that is impacting some of our worlds. Unfortunately there are global services that route through this region, so the impact is not limited to US East.

We have been informed that the recovery is in progress, and worlds should be normalizing soon.

EDIT: there is impact on expeditions and outpost rush while this issue is still active. Please refrain from attempting to enter either until the issue is fully resolved. We will update this post when that happens.

EDIT: the service issue is resolved. It is now okay to enter instances such as expeditions and outpost rush.

You should be able to take all/drop all now - is that not the case? I just tested on a few of my characters and I was able to.

Downtime is complete and all regions are out of maintenance. Thanks all

We have completed all planned merges for 2021, and would like to take a moment to detail what comes next.

First off, if you find that you are unhappy with the faction you chose previously, we will be resetting the faction cooldown for everyone in our Weekly 1.2.1 update; this will allow you to change your faction to one that better suits your playstyle on your new server (reminder: all faction transfer rules apply, you will not be able to join the most dominant faction in your world.)...

Hey everyone,

The team has been investigating this incident and working directly with the Content Creator involved to resolve this issue. The intended target for the strike was an advertisement on YouTube for a gold selling website. By mistake, the video was reported instead, we have since removed the strike and the video is live again. We will revise our internal processes to ensure this issue does not impact other folks in the future. We apologize for this poor experience and any concerns it created.
