Greetings!

We’ve identified an issue with the PTR that needs to be addressed before we bring it back online. The PTR will remain unavailable for the time being while we work to remedy this issue. We will continue to update this thread as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience!

Hello! I do want to level set expectations, there’s only 250 of each attribute mod in this backstory. Will work to significantly increase that number for easier gear rolling in the future, it should’ve been higher to begin with but hopefully this is an overall improvement to your testing experience.

Hey there!
So unfortunately I don’t have any updates yet about new server merges but the team is aware of recent feedback asking for them and is discussing internally what those future server merges might look like. As soon as we’re able to share something concrete we’ll post that info in the forums. Thanks for your patience!

We’re also excited about the ability to upgrade epics and pick up a 3rd perk. But we need to work through some issues before we consider it for many types items.

However, we will be implementing it for a few new systems in Season 1 - gear from war, invasion, and gypsum casts will all pick up a 3rd perk if upgraded to 600. And as reminder this functionality is already in for OPR and Breach gear.

Thanks all for the feedback on War and OPR. These are core parts of our game and things we want to continue to iterate on and improve for years to come.

While we are not locked in on the exact timing, we are targeting next season for some adjustments to OPR to improve the experience and shake up gameplay a bit.

We are also looking into war and would like to make some similar changes. No exact timelines for that yet, but we will definitely take these suggestions into consideration.

Thanks for the feedback for the Silver Crows storyline. Our plan for the storyline is that certain parts will remain indefinitely, specifically anything related to the building of the Silver Crows camp or organization. So if you happen to join in Season 2 for the first time, you’ll still get the chance to go interview candidates and recruit Zander. The parts that will disappear between seasons is the season-specific storyline, which in the case of Season 1 is anything that has to do with Skye. We want new players to be able to hop into the storyline fairly rapidly, and we also want to make sure that the story feels relevant to the current season.

The story of Season 2 will be very different than the story of Season 1, and our end goal here is to make sure Aeternum feels like a living and breathing world, so as the season ends some POIs and enemies might change as well in preparation for the new Season. New POIs and new characters will be sure to pop up in Season 2 as we conti...

This change was reverted before moving to PTR but we accidentally left the patch note, apologies for the confusion!

In episode 16 of Forged in Aeternum the devs are back to tackle more of your community questions and you did not hold back! Host Scot Lane (Game Director) is joined by Katy Kaszynski (Live Lead / Senior Producer) and David Verfaillie (Creative Director). They’re answering questions about PvP updates, how we incorporate your feedback, why we are changing to a season model, and more.

Greetings Adventurers!

We will be restarting the PTR at 12 am on February 25th PT or 2023-02-25T08:00:00Z in your local time.

This update will enable lifestyle buffs on PTR so that players can more easily test end game crafting. It will also enable players to more thoroughly test other PTR features by being able to create the gear they need.

Thank you for your patience and see you in the PTR!
