I'll try to come up with a solution for this. Sorry about the issue!

Should just need the flour. Does anyone have the cooking skill active?

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Can you let me know the game version you're on? It should say in the bottom left corner of the main menu.

Cheers.

Hello!

I had a similar question not too long ago so I thought I would share that thread:

Timeline Question

Short answer is I'm not sure. I'm having a great time making the game and would love to continue adding features and content to it for a long time. I see it as a living world that can continue to grow. I'd love to get... Read more

Later versions of the game (currently in beta) let you refuse new migrants. As well, you can limit the population cap via a menu accessed at the top-left of the screen. This limit controls whether new settlers are born.

You can copy the save folder and paste it into the other machine's matching directory.

The save directories are:

Location on Windows: C:\users\you\appdata\locallow\Unknown Origin Games\OddRealm

Location on Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Unknown Origin Games/OddRealm

Location on Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Unknown Origin Games/OddRealm

Just copy the entire 'OddRealm' folder and overwrite the one on your other machine. Of course make sure to back it up just in case.

Note: AppData is usually hidden in directories. Your best bet is to type it into the directory input bar.

I will be activating Steam's cloud saving soon. I'll be sure to post an announcement when I do.

Yes. I have neglected adding in stone versions of the stool. Sorry about this. I'll add them in as soon as I can. Alternatively, you can place the stools diagonally to the fire. The fire will only ignite directly adjacent flammable props.

Do you have someone with wood crafting enabled?

It's an old hack for settlers 'working' in workshops. You can ignore it. In later version (beta), this doesn't happen.

Hey friends!

This is a rather brief update on game progress and where I'm at.

The last few weeks I was updating some old systems that were poorly written/designed. That's pretty much done but I'm still working out some of the bugs that arise as I go along.

I'm also in the process of adding more natural 'platforms'. Platforms are more of an internal term for any floors that the game can have. For example, grass, wood tile, clay shingles, snow, etc. The bottom face of the game's block, essentially. Natural platforms are ones which appear on their own in the world. The two which I'm working on are grass and snow. Before, grass and snow were simply texture swaps to the grass platform. When I entered a new season I'd swap those textures. Now, those platforms will appear based on the tuning information for weather and season. So, when it rains, grass for that season will naturally grow and appear on dirt blocks. In Winter, if it's snowing, snow platforms will appea... Read more

Thanks friend. I'm just here to make a game. Super happy to have a wonderful community to do that with. :)

Hey there! All good. No offense taken.

Originally, I had planned to release something MUCH smaller for 1.0 and a 6-12 month timeline was more realistic. The thing is, once I opened up the game to the public and a community started to grow, tons of extra features and content additions were requested outside of the original 1.0 promised set.

As well, to be perfectly candid with you, I was much more worried about money when I opened up the EA. That timeline was more of a constraint on myself than anything. I knew I had a certain amount in my bank and I needed to get the game done in that amount of time. Lucky for me, the game has generated an income similar to what I used to make at a studio and it has helped me put more time, thought, care and effort into the game.

All that said, I'm in NO rush to get the game to 1.0. I'm just going to work on it at my own pace and have fun doing so. This game is as much a thing for myself as it is for you fine folks. If ... Read more
