I've been meaning to add import to the gear sets so you can transfer them across saves. Just been tied up with some bug fixing lately. Hope to add that soon.

I absolutely agree. After today's patch I'm focusing on combat and events to fix a lot of these issues and add some more content. :)

Dig down into the ground with your miners. Most of the game world is below you and there a bunch of dungeons. The patch after today's, I'll be adding many more too. :)

As for the overworld, we actually haven't really started on overworld exploration yet. Migration is a method to start a new settlement, not really a way to explore because you can't currently go back to the old settlement. We have plans to add a lot more overworld map options like scouting, trading, invading, etc.

Hmm, I'm not sure I understand. Your trees were cut down by 30%? Do you mean the time it took to cut them down was reduced by 30%? Or their growth time was reduced by 30%? Sorry for my confusion.

Happy Friday folks!

I just uploaded 0.8.8.0 to the beta branch. I'm going to fix a few more things before pushing them to the production build tomorrow.

Also, you may be experiencing some bugs with old saves from 0.8.4.2 and before. That's because I didn't properly handle the change to age. So, you'd end up having all your settlers become children. That's one of the last few things I'm fixing up today to get into the prod build.

One big thing I've changed is the tutorial. It now has way more steps and is hopefully better at giving the player a sense for the game. There are several steps missing for it but most of the things are there. However, ...

This is a real small hotfix update to follow up with 0.8.8.0 as some people were having issues. As well, I'm forcing the tutorial to restart because the previous tutorial was so different and this potentially caused problems.

Anywho, thanks!

Ya, that's the intention eventually, but I have some work to do to make that possible.

Ah, yes, the bug where item spawns discover dungeons. That ol' chestnut.

Ya. I agree. I'll add some messaging to make that clearer. Thanks for the feedback!

Here are the patch notes:
-Fixed a bug where control group button graphic wasn't updating to show when it's interactable.
-Re-made the tutorial.
-Fixed a bug where Emily Townsend would appear and kidnap non-child... Read more

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply. Did not see this post.

how high do the rooms need to be?
A room needs to be 1 block in height. You can choose to build a roof platform over it or solid blocks. To build a roof in midair, hold ALT while placing the blueprints.

2 blocks high?
No.

do i need to also make a roof? Settlers like roofs over their rooms. Makes them happier.
i tried to make a room out of wood walls (i made a flat square of wood on the ground). i seen in the video that they placed a room (square with a hollow centre). Not sure how to do that.
To leave the centre hollowed, hold down CTRL while placing the blueprints.

Do i need to make a door to the room too?
You don't have to. You can lock doors if you get attacked.

does placing the door replace the already-constructed wood wall?
No. You need to leave an open space. You can deconstruct things you've built if you need to m... Read more

Well, there is the 'Thoughts and Feedback' thread for suggestions. Truthfully, I like to keep bug posts separate. It helps me find them and seeing duplicates is a good way for me to tell severity and how common it is or if, maybe, I've just forgotten.

We do have a very active discord if you'd like to join it. It has dedicated channels for many things including, suggestions and bugs.
