Just curious, do you guys play the game on your day off? Or are you so sick of seeing it that you have to play or do something else?

Clearly, you guys have a passion for the game.

I play pretty much every day however when I'm on holiday I tend to be out and about where playing isn't much of an option unless you're on mobile though I do get a few cheeky scaping sessions in every night if I can!

Hope yโ€™all are okay and doing good with your mental health, thatโ€™s important and we all care about you guys ๐Ÿฅฐ

Thank you! We hope you're doing well too. Please take care of yourselves <3

I wonder what the reason is behind the schedule change. They say they reviewed it, but what is the reason behind that review?

Livestreams originally moved to Wednesdays so you could show off sneak peaks for the next days update. Will this new schedule mean it'll be a sneak peak at the next week or the previous days update?

We're still trying to work this out. It's especially tricky remotely since we've got both us and RuneScape gunning for stream time. As it stands it'll be both next week/previous day's update, but future schedule changes could happen which brings a stream forward, like it currently is.

I think this is great. It gives the team the ability to fine polish the release in the early stages of the week, but also gives them plenty of time to fix urgent things that might have been caused by the release the rest of the week.

Logical

The polish should still be there, we'll just adjust our review time and whatnot, but the main benefits are in the second half of what you said - resolving issues that might emerge after an update.

Sounds good. I never really saw why updates where on Thursday anyway except for that is the day that was chosen. RS2 would generally aim for Monday or Tuesday and it makes sense to put out updates earlier in the week.

RuneScape used to update on Tuesdays, and it's sensible to keep the day after free so that we're not stepping on eachother's toes if things go wrong and reboots and whatnot need to happen. That was a while ago, and now RuneScape aim for Mondays. That means we're in a good position to bring our update earlier to Wednesday!

There's way too many pity drops as is already for untradeables (KQ, Vorkath, etc.). You start bringing in pity drops for tradeables and we're going to have even bigger problems with item sinks because we currently don't have many.

I personally don't like pity drops whatsoever. I certainly wouldn't advocate for more.

What if it was altered in such a way: Droprate of unique: 1/4000 Let's say I get 4,000/4000kills dry At this point a system comes into play that gives you 1 percent increased odds of that item dropping for every500-1k kills dry after this point. I think this would provide a mental relief knowing that there's a real, if even negligible difference made each kill. You eventually get the item, bonus gone. This would make no difference to the economy, but it would make grinds feel more fulfilling without taking away from the intended RNG unless you were to have ungodly bad luck, and at that point wouldn't you agree they've earned it?

But as you get more kills there is already a mental increase of it happening because the higher you go the rarer it is to get to that point without one.
Whether theyve "earned it" or not isnt really the point im making here, its the underlying mechanic of the very system MMOs are built on that doesnt need changing.

I agree with OP. Not everything has to be efficiency scape.

At the same time, not everything needs to be created when there isn't a particular issue to address in the first place. There's quite a few ways to teleport to alot of places that the only real areas that require time to get there are middle of isafdar, dag kings, and slepe (kind of).

Naturally this depends on your account at the time, But still, you train to gain benefit from something to resolve the problem you have.

Yeah dw, this suggestion is overpowerd and defenitly shouldnt be implemented like this or in our current gear tier. Sounds like an endgame t90 item for in the far far future.

Sounds like a never if you ask me. The whole great at one thing or jack of all trades hybrid design is a good one to me.

Or we can use super energy and stamina potions because they pretty much fill the need youre describing and already exist. Its not like theyre that expensive and sure its a little bit of a grind for an ironman, but thats kinda the point no?

Genuinely curious as to why poeple seem to think super energies and stam potions are a bad thing/need to be altered.

Why would you look to cheapen the point of an RNG based drop system? The whole point is that you go dry some places you go lucky in others it evens itself out. That's kinda the point.

To me "pity timers" (i call them for want of an actual name) would completely cheapen the whole experience and alot of what the game is about in my eyes. Not to mention make it so theres a more of everything thus making the items cheaper and not really worth going for outside of personal achievements and collection log stuff.
