There are other ways to train agility without spoiling haha.

This whole discussion thread is amazing and every time someone has told me one relic is a nobrainer I can give an example why the others may be better.

I look forward to seeing the numbers for which ones people pick when it gets released

We want to award players who put insane amounts of time into the game mode, while not simply giving out participation trophies for the more casual players. We want both types of players to enjoy Leagues and feel rewarded for the effort, we will do our best to achieve this. I hope that makes sense.

but yeah, my point was, all of the relics that have to do with prayer aren't very relevant since any good player knows how to one tick flick. the accumulator one offers wayyy too much value compared to the other two.

Yes, those are the starting relics. What I'm saying is that you might change your mind when you see the dynamics between all the relics. You might want to see the bigger picture before forming a strategy. The tasks we haven't revealed also play an important role in this, as you might want to adapt your choice of relic to the harder tasks. Does that make sense?

We'll be releasing the points for each reward as soon as we can so that people have a goal to work towards when they start if they only want to play to earn specific rewards.

Also, you can always save your points until the next league if you didn't quite make the cut this time so you don't have to lose a whole 2 months of progress

I've spent a lot of my time on that problem. After lots and lots of hours of internal testing I can tell you that Zeah is secure and even if we missed something we have lots of measures to make it so leaving the island isn't even worthwhile.

Escaping Zeah is not a task, you won't get points for it :P

So we see this feedback a lot and here's my thoughts on it.

If it's untradeable then you only get them on your alt unless you pause all main-game progress which a lot of people won't like. Most people are going to like the rewards being tradeable so they can do this. Ironman accounts are hard done by this, there's no way around it though we don't have the tech to let you log in to more than one world at once.

Also, there are benefits to being tradeable. They will be rather expensive when the league ends and everyone gets them and people get to feel like they earned something which helps their main account progress.

And finally, we do want a way to show off your progress in the league, this is why the trophies are untradeable. Each league the logo will change so if you want that prestigious dragon trophy, better play and get it!

Hopefully this means the rewards have something for e...

Unlimited run is nice, prayer draining at half the speed is basically irrelevant if you can one tick prayer flick.

Dark Altar Devotion Bones dropped by creatures are automatically buried and award 4 times the experience. Ensouled heads now drop two at a time.

This seems useful on paper, but you can't even get piety so literally going over 45 prayer is basically pointless if you can one tick prayer flick. I guess it could be useful for rigour+augury but those seem like they'll be unobtainable for 99.9% of players.

No. You cannot max if you only plat 1-2 hours a day...

AND THAT's FINE!

These are not a bucket list of tasks where you have to complete everything, instead these are a list of tasks which you can choose which ones to complete!

We want a huge range of tasks which are impossible for one person to complete all of them so that you always have another goal to work towards. Someone will surely max but that person may not have some of the other tasks complete. The goal with Master tasks is to award players for the absolutely insane long-term achievements.

Why not use point threshholds? Like 100 points for mithril 250 for adamant etc.

That way people can also stop when they have gained the rank they want without losing it to some people grinding the league at the last moment.

Most rewards are not based on percentages. Most rewards you get from flat point thresholds, by completing tasks.

Yeah, that seems totally doable. Even at 3x exp, that's equal to maxing in 6 months.

You don't need to complete all tasks in order to access rewards. The more points you have, the more rewards you can buy.

Imagine not even considering the Twisted Relics. They have a large impact on the exp gains which will definitely affect how fast you can max.

Also as I've said above, 3x experience is a starting point for our balancing, that's why we didn't confirm in the blog

If leagues die then we will find some way to keep our promise. We don't know what that is yet so I can't give any information unfortunately.

I personally am very hyped for Leagues and am hopeful that it will flourish and do well
