Now I do have to report two bugs I found that are annoying.

1) The "hot" keys on the action bar dissappear at odd times. So I can't choose spells, charge, vital strike, etc..... I did find I can get them back by saving my game then reloading. Now that's a pain.

2) This one hurts. Some times when I switch from Eqipment to inventory with characters to fast.....the "cards" to select equipment, inventory, character, etc freeze on the screen. The only way to get rid of them is to turn off your Xbox since you can't even get to the save/load menu. The game is literally frozen. It has happen to me 3 times in about 6 hours.

But otherwise great job on console so far. I did 4 runs on PC and have bee...

Hello! Happy to hear that! Note that you are playing the version without the day 1 patch x) Xbox is delaying the update for certification.

The game should behave better after the update.

Arcanist (and all it's archetypes) is broken. Cannot prepare spells. Known issue, they are working on a fix. I unfortunately had to roll seeker sorcerer instead.

Sometimes it happens that for some reason your tooltips that should get in foreground stay in background and there's no way to get them out of there. They react to buttons and everything, you just cannot see them. I think it happened twice to me so far. And nothing works, not even reloading save, you need to restart the game and reload the save that way (fortunately even if you save in this state, it will fix itself after restart). This is probably the most annoying thing I encountered so far.

Sometimes the gamepad buttons don't react on the first press, but do react on the 2nd. Doesn't happen too often though.

And the Midnight Isles DLC is also kinda broken. First of...

The issue with the character selection window in the DLC is known and should be fixed soon.

Hello, Xbox is still lacking the critical day 1 update, which is delayed due to certification. We're waiting for it to be deployed soon. Please check if the issue remains when it hits. Temporary workaround could be setting a higher difficulty.

It's technically impossible, I'm afraid. The games are not backwards-compatible.

And no less important, back in 2019, when becoming an independent company, we've lost ownership for Kingmaker. That's the reason there are no updates anymore to the first game.

Got KM free on PS5 played like 90% of it. But the bugs and the call forth ability ruined it for me. On top of the difficulty spike at the end and all the set you up to fail kingdom requests lol. Still an amazing game though.

Want to play Wrath so so so very badly but am so scared of it being a buggy molasses swamp. I will maintain this vigil with you brother. At least until I stumble into an extra $40.

Our ability to support Kingmaker consoles was very limited. Detaching from a parent company into an independent studio, we've lost ownership of the game back in 2019, and it's still the case by this day.

Thankfully, it's a very different story with Wrath. Being the owners of the game, we are commited to support, fix and update the game for as long as it's needed to provide a satisfying experience.

In the AMA they said they can't, due to reasons they are not allowed to talk about. Take that how you will.

We can tell now. It's sad and simple - when becoming an independent company back in 2019 from a parent company, we've lost ownership for Kingmaker. That's why we don't make any more updates.

We don't have that problem with Wrath consoles.

Yeah, it seems like the community manager is not active yet / has anything new to share. I want to play it in the afternoon - I took the day off for this!

I was asleep, sorry :) Timezones.

It's delayed at certification stage by the platform, we're waiting for news from them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Which spells did you try to cast like that?

It is a known issue, yes. Working on a fix.

Hello, which platform and which version of the game do you use?

I'm actually having an issue where after the update the game speed has slowed to a crawl and I wasn't having this issue pre patch.

Please check that your mods are updated if any. If the issue remains, make a bug report via ALT+B, we'll investigate.

You can continue an existing game.

The fact that they had so much time to fix and test those things, yet still released a buggy mess is quite telling. Wanted to buy it for Xbox, but as it stands I might as well wait until it's a fiver on PC after hitting HB.

Platform has delayed certification of the day 1 patch release. We're waiting for them to deploy the patch, it should fix most of the said issues.

Yea, happens on 1.0.2, on clean install, after the patch 1.0.2 was available.

We're investigating and should deal with this soon. While understandably visually annoying, it doesn't prevent you from continuing the game, simply keep going.

Anyways, /u/OwlcatStarrok, any idea about the arcanist not being able to change spells? I am on ps5, not sure about op.

Known issue, working on a fix.

I know it is not your fault personally but come on - this is like 2020 over again. The game has invisible walls 10 seconds after you start moving in the game.

This issue should be gone after the day 1 patch. It landed for PS, but unfortunately there's a delay with certification for Xbox which we currently have no control over. Waiting for the patch to be deployed.

Look, Starrok, most people don’t blame you, it’s actually the opposite. You have been great help this year with open and clear communication.

The problem comes with the name EE mostly. People expect Enchased Edition to substantially improve the game and it didn’t. A couple mystic feats or some broken balance issues aside, act 5 for example is universally understood to lack content. We know the reason, rushed development, Larian Studios love to that too. But their Definitive Edition changed that while this … added photo mode as one of the major features.

Or take Crusade. You specifically collected feedback about it couple of month before, you know it’s a lackluster experience… and nothing is changed.

My point is damage control aside, next time don’t call major patches Enhanced Edition. Call it what it is - a patch.

Again, nothing against you, you are amazing. And I hope you can bring some of the feedback to your marketing team

Results of the Crusade research haven't gone in vain, they were deeply analyzed and gave us a lot of useful information. 'Nothing is changed' is technically incorrect - over the year the game has seen a number of balance tweaks for crusade units (the process is far from over of course), and an added ability to skip fights with weaker enemies.

Rest assured, we're carefully discussing all the feedback we see here and in other threads, and hear the wishes of the community.

In another comment you said this,

No, all patches are compatible with existing savegames by default. In EXTREMELY rare cases they aren't (happened exactly once so far, in the very beginning of PC release for a couple of mythic paths), we announce it in advance.

In the comment I'm responding to, you list starting a new game post patch as a troubleshooting solution. The only reason I bring it up is because I am excited to try a new game on Xbox, but don't want to have to roll a new character if the patch isn't compatible with my first one. Would you be able to tell me if its advisable to start a new character under the impression that I can apply the patch sometime after character creation?

Any clarification would be appreciated, thanks for all the work you guys do!

There shouldn't be any problems at all to start now, except that the game should behave better with the patch than without it, and provide a better experience.

"Start a new character" troubleshooting was more along the lines of "check if it the problem steadily reproduces after a restart", which may help in figuring out the root cause of the problem. Some bugs may reproduce every time, while others may do so only in a specific set of conditions, for example when a certain class or feat is selected.
