Huh, so they update their Cubemaps? I would have expected just a simple on off
We actually now only have one cubemap and we increase the intensity of it depending on how many lights are on in the room

I was also playing on Xbox.
I don't think it's a problem on my end, I played with myself (heh) by hosting a game with my PC copy and joining from my Xbox and everything was fine.
Hey, what's his gamertag? We're looking into an issue where some gamertags are mistakenly being detected as offensive which would cause this.

Hey, yes this is our highest priority feature to get out as soon as we can but I can't give a timeline for that just yet.
New systems to improve stability and remove bugs for player movement, this will not change gameplay in any way

There is cross play between platforms with a server browser to select which game to join. You can also invite friends into your games through your platforms invite system.

I only played for 110h or so and I don't consider myself anything close to a veteran, but I can answer your question.
The main thing that you will be missing out on without voice chat is talking with your team (can be fixed via Discord or a different software), being able to move while asking questions on the Spirit Box (which is my main issue with text recognition-WHY CANT WE MOVEEE) and being able to ask questions like "Do you like my hair" on the Ouija.
Overall, voice chat is not needed. It sort of makes the game more fun, but that doesn't mean the game is not fun without it.

The only feature not available at launch is voice recognition which means console players will have to use the text voice recognition option for the spirit box, ouija board and monkey paw. This option has pre selected questions that you choose with an easy to use UI interface.
