but on english voice recognition everything still works, maybe russian language is broken

The current voice recognition doesn't actually support Russian properly, we are working on adding a new voice recognition system in that requires no set up and will support many languages including Russian.

Hey, just to make sure. Are you grabbing the walkie talkie on your shoulder? It's a physical object now so you have to grab it.

The double grab bug will be fixed in a patch later today.

Any chance we will get refreshed design on how the hands interact with the world and such in the future? As in the hands being separate from the items even when you grab them instead of being hard coded into switching into another state when you grab an item. Also bein...

Hey everyone,

I wanted to make this post to help everyone having issues with Virtual Desktop since the VR Overhaul update.

Virtual Desktop only supports SteamVR which is something we didn't know about until after the update. Phasmophobia now uses OpenXR which is not supported by Virtual Desktop.

This means the only way to get this working is to go into your SteamVR developer settings and set the OpenXR runtime to SteamVR. This is something we do not recommend at all as using the SteamVR OpenXR runtime with an Oculus or Windows VR headset will cause extreme lag so you must instead use Air Link.

Unfortunately there is no other way around this. Please contact the Virtual Desktop developers for a solution to OpenXR and non SteamVR headsets.

Thanks,
DK

Welcome back ghost hunters, we’ve heard you, and we're working on it!

We want to thank you for your understanding and patience, a completely new system for VR will take some time to get right, but we're getting there with the help of your feedback!

We're still working on things, and will release several more bug fixes as they get completed.

Our first approach to reducing the overuse of door hiding didn't work too well, so we've reverted several doors for better navigation, but given our ghosts a lesson in how to play hide and seek properly!

In the last update, Willow got the full hiding spot treatment, and the other locations were feeling a little left out! We've gone through said locations to adjust, add or remove hiding spots to make them more consistent and reliable:

This is not easier, this did not make things better, this made things worse in several ways.

1. Talking over the radio is now a 2 step process where as it's 1 button for desktop. This makes me just default to not using it if possible.
2. The front of your belt is cluttered with items. This means I keep accidentally grabbing my journal and radio when I'm just trying to d...

You mean like how for a year and a half the game has had zero improvements to VR? Your argument works against you my friend!
It needed doing, desperately, once these bugs are done its done forever, and we can work adding content again.
