The construction repair farming came from a single object, because of a single experience flag not being set. No rollbacks.

Server Performance We've identified and corrected some very specific areas that were causing server performance issues. We will be running a double experience FOR ALL event later in the month, along with the return of most Auraximas items (and fixes for the ones that were broken.) Server Transfers - Connery and Soltech character transfers end Feb. 1st Server Transfers are active once again, and the deadline to move your characters to and from Connery or Soltech has been extended through the rest of January. Additional Fixes
  • MGR-L1 Promise no longer uses the incorrect gold and auraxium tier kill requirements for directive completion.
  • The command list in-game should be updated with recently added commands.

Fixes, Changes, and Additions Fixed some incorrect iconography with pending and active alerts and events. Urban Forest, Snow Aspen Forest, and Desert Scrub v2 camos now show the correct colors. Added a mint c*ckpit glow cosmetic for the Valkyrie. Valkyrie Mint Lumifiber now counts toward the Slayride directive. The Little Helper received new muzzle effects, a new optic, and some additional visual polish.

I did something similar to this earlier this year and upgraded from a 4690k to the 8600k. With a little (lazy) tuning, my chip was able to hit 4.6 GHz easily on air w/ a Hyper 212 Evo. Temps usually hovered around 65-70 C. On water with the same clock speeds and a 240 rad it sits in the low 40's. (I could probably push it ever further, but I'm lazy haha). So far my experience with ps2, the 8600k has made the biggest improvement in larger fights. With medium to high settings @ 3400x1440, I rarely see drops below 90 in most fights with some large fights pushing high 60's. Everywhere else it's usually a stable ~120.

Tldr; I did the same thing 4690k -> 8600k and I'm very happy with it. Hope this helps!

Connery <--> SolTech Server Transfers We are activating the ability to transfer characters between the Connery and SolTech servers. You can do this from the Character Select screen. If you select a Connery or SolTech character then an option should appear at the bottom of the Character Select screen next to the Play option. When it is clicked the game will process a transfer for your character from Connery to SolTech or SolTech to Connery. Please be patient as this can take a moment. We have done our best to test this system but would recommend you attempt the transfer with a lower value character first and keep an eye on our messaging channels; the official PlanetSide 2 twitter and this forum to see if we are running into problems. A small patch was deployed to Test today in our march towards a stable NSO faction system. Here are some of the fixes. Bug Fixes
  • Tutorial Disabled Temporarily while we iron out the details for NSO.
  • No more friendly fire in the warpgates for NSO characters.
  • Deployables mistaking allies for enemies should now be fixed.
  • Terminals inside of warpgates should now be usable by NSO characters.
  • Vehicle weapons should now work correctly for NSO characters.
  • Made some repairs to how characters appears in the new Character Create Screen.

How much animation work, exactly? Kind of a brag, but I was able to create animations for pistol dual wielding mod for XCOM 2 in three weeks or so. And I'm an amateur.

A lot of animation work. It is a new wield type so there would need to be custom locomotion animations (passive, active and ADS stances, as well as jumps, falls, and lands), reloads, deaths, firing recoils, additives for aiming, custom vehicle animations, hit recoils, etc. And that is just the actual animation work. There also needs to be the animation network support for handling all of these new animations. It also has to be done for both first and third person for everything I just listed. Looking at the video I am sure you have a sense of this stuff, it is just a in a larger scale than XCOM. It is quite a time investment to do this right.

Nanite Systems Operatives We've begun our initial testing phase of the Nanite Systems Operatives system, referred to internally as "Black Ops." These mercurial robots will always fight for the lowest populated faction on whichever continent the player zones into. NSO characters can be created on Test Server using the character create system, and selecting the "Secret Stuff" faction. (But shhhh, let's keep this between us.) As an NSO character, you'll have access to common pool weapons and vehicles, and be able to fight alongside the faction you're assigned to. This initial round of testing has some unfinished features and fixes we're still working toward. We've listed known issues below. Please write a /bug report for anything new you discover.
  • NSO characters have no damage immunity in the Warpgate.
  • Many consumable/deployable items are unfinished.
  • Squad/personal waypoints don't appear on the map, but do appear on the HUD.
