That sounds like a bug, and I'd love to see some footage of it. You should always be able to spawn on Sunderers within 200 meters of you, but I've seen a complaints here and there about people who can't. I've yet to run into that particular issue myself.

I won't argue, but I think it might help matters if, when you get some time, you elaborate a little on what sort of baggage you think this change will create. It's a very foreboding warning that many will struggle to understand at face value.

Sure thing.

The request to spawn "a base back" really means spawning at "an adjacent hex," since there's no easy way to project which way you're going in a way that wouldn't feel convoluted. With that comes the ability to pop-dump into nearby regions resulting in more lattice stagnation, which we saw a lot with the old system.

It wasn't the worst offender in the old system though (that was unchecked Sunderer spawns within 1000 meters and the inability to leave your current lane easily,) so hopefully the rest of the ruleset will keep things in check.

I can put in an exception for adjacent hexes, but I hope the "it's so simple, just let us spawn a hex back always!" advocates also realize that this comes with a lot of baggage. Hopefully the rest of the system helps balance it out.

There was no actual fight for that lattice, with the majority of the NC population only being counted as in Ceres because of sunderer at the border. This made the spawn restriction feel arbitrary.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. <3 to the planetside team

It's a bit tricky to get right. We have an exception when it's less than 24 players, but it looks like Ceres must have been slightly over that. We'll need to put messaging in to clear up some of the confusion, for sure.

I love curated experiences in my open world games. Great update mate, keep em coming!

The spawn system has always been curated, but the new spawn does make it less convenient to spawn at local overpopulated regions in exchange for better population control on the continental level.

It's a contested region with 69% allied population, so the spawn is disabled.

Sure, he can PM me on discord. I respond to as many discord messages as I can.

That was a speculative fix for the loadout freeze and invisible vehicle issues. We were going to formally announce it in a little bit.

Thank you for letting us know about this. We are looking into why this fix didn't make it into the patch as expected. The hope to get a client only patch out with the fix ASAP.

Join Combat is being changed to use Drop Pods as a fallback, next update, meaning you'll spawn at Sunderers and Hardspawns the majority of the time again.
