Did you read

We still need to figure out a way to differentiate between different types of mods or detect gameplay altering mods, so that you can still use a weapon skin mod or any other non-gameplay altering mod.

There was a game that came out all the way back in 2002 called "Soldier of Fortune II". Peoples heads had something like 25 sections on it that could be shot off or shot through with this dynamic head-chunking mechanic and I'm still waiting for any game to do something like that again.

Actual deformation.

Makarovs will be replaced anyways. Not to mention I’ve never fired one that hasnt jammed every third shot lol

Oh they still can fire from the hip. Don’t worry we still want the game to be difficult. This mitigates a lot of the snapping and stuff you see in the existing build.

Correct. That's a magdump

lol what. This one does not look good.

yeah it really doesn't, but that's just because it's a test asset. general dismemberment wont usually happen unless you get blown up (and it'll look a lot better than this)

So the reason why we don't save scores when the game is modded is due to the fact that a gameplay altering mod could make the game significantly easier to beat, and there'd be no way to tell if you've gotten a legit S rank or not.

For example, someone could make a weapon skin mod and then sneak in an AI mod that, let's say, makes them immediately surrender on sight and could easily win the game that way.

We still need to figure out a way to differentiate between different types of mods or detect gameplay altering mods, so that you can still use a weapon skin mod or any other non-gameplay altering mod.

We know this sucks but we haven't found a reliable solution yet, so this is on the backburner for now.

Also, we want to keep the official vanilla scores too, just so there isn't any confusion if you achieved that score with a gameplay altering mod or not. But the idea of recording unofficial scores would be neat as well, that can be implemented.

We did have plans for this at one point. We're not super against the idea tho. But most likely it may not happen
