Is this a typo? "Do not fear tho" instead of though?
Sniped this one!

but isn't that the issue? Jagex is all over the place, nothing centralized, some info given in discord other on reddit some in tweets and some in secret "content creator" only chats.
Suggestion: find a way to share conversation through multi platform at the same time or at least a summary of what was discussed.
Look at mod ryan chat with the rs guy I caught that in his stream by pure luck. that stuff was good. I'm sure mod jack discussion in discord was relevant as well, but most players will never hear/see any of it.
Well, it'd be nice to have one centralised space, for sure, but each platform offers it's own benefits. For example, Discord allows for faster communication, and themed sections for specific topics - in fact, there's a channel in the Official RuneScape Discord (it's #Social) that crossposts every comment made by a JMod (even this one!) so everyone on Discord can see everything I'm saying here.
I admit that I personally like the sporadic nature of chatting with the JMods. We're a passionate bunch, many of whom chat about RuneScape far into the night after the office has closed - we've all got a lot to say! I wouldn't want to close off those opportunities for a more centralised communication channel.
In the instance that something requires a larger announcement, we try and cross-post it everywhere we can so it's cohesive AND invites conversations for people across those spaces.
Hence why people are asking for a more centralized communication, like a stream. Right? ...
For centralised communication, a blog post is hard to beat.
As for streams, as I said at the top of the chain, in the coming weeks we'll be able to start up streams again so that'll be on the agenda, once they're a possibility.
We don't all use Discord though man. If it's somewhere in a Discord channel it may as well not exist to a chunk of us here.
Like a lot of people who don't use Reddit right?
Pips isn't very hard to get involved if he's asked, but the RS3 CM doesn't ask him, is my guess.
Y'know - I hadn't asked, as a matter of fact. I'll be sure to extend an invitation the next time we have everyone together for an occasion!
They literally stink.
But seriously, the AoE poison is good for grouped up enemies within 1 square of the Zombie, and the explosion deals a big chunk of damage to the affected targets in range. Quite a few bosses are either too big or keep you at a distance where they're not as effective, but as someone levelling Slayer, I've found that the Zombie is good to have to get your DPS up when targeting a few of an enemy type. I alternate between Zombie for damage and Ghost for mild sustain (though if you're surrounded by enemies, Blood Siphon will offer better healing on a long cooldown).
What are you fighting at the moment that you want to bring the Zombie into the mix against?
Howdy - As Sakirth has said, we will be joined by the wise Mod Druid in the coming weeks, and Mod Spear has moved on to an exciting new opportunity. In the interim, we're pretty busy and we've been able to keep up communication through our blogs, Reddit, Discord and the-website-formerly-known-as-Twitter.
Mod Jack was chatting to players in the Lore section of the Discord into the late hours of yesterday evening, so I'm not entirely sure where the theory around their disappearance has come from.
In any case: We'll be back to normal pretty soon, I hope, and I've got some ideas for things we can do with streams in the coming months!
This one's already been raised to the team, so it's on their radar! You'll be brewing cranial concoctions in the right left hand soon!
looks like its in the right hand to me
-sigh-
[upvote]
When was this recorded? It was clearly done during a twitch stream and after the Death Skulls fix.
Edit: This interview is very insightful mends a bit of my broken heart for the game right now. Really shows that Mod Ryan has put a lot of time and effort into thinking about boss design.
About 2 weeks ago iirc
/u/JagexDoom when can we dye our Necromancy gear?
I want to say more than my usual catchphrases, but right now the teams are working super hard on a lot of things so I can't give a definitive answer. I'm gonna have to fall back on ol' faithful: The future is a mystery to us all.
I know a lot of folks are sitting on dyes (either to sell or use) until we get that out so I really want us to get that out the door sooner rather than later! Sorry I've not got more insight than that, for now.
Just swooping in on this to say I've just seen this, and I'll check in with the team on this one in the morning if they've not come through. Keep me posted! Thank you!
Hey there. So if you're seeing this, it will be due to selecting an option saying you don't play RuneScape or you haven't heard of Hero Pass before.
As the survey is focused on gathering deeper feedback on existing conversation - in a way the dev team can most effectively use to guide them - we need responses from players who play the game and know what Hero Pass is already.
If that doesn't align to your experience, drop me a reply and I'll pass it to our Player Research team to have a look at.
Does that include DM's sent to the CM's via Reddit?
Personally I prefer discord dms, never got into a great flow with Reddit messages but if you wanna pass things along via message I am happy to include your feedback.
Ramen, can we not just have the game jam put in to play? Fix the flatness of the cape, fix the section that we can’t customise and add the customisable particles ? The game jam looked ready to launch?
To fix things like you have mentioned a character artist needs to get hands on and do those kinda fixes, and that's what's been asked of them.
You don’t have much of voice when your only option is a survey where you pick the predetermined black and white answers. You are basically creating a tier system on who’s voice is more important. While regular players only get to answer a multiple choice answer to a question, you are giving so called content creators (I wouldn’t call reading patch notes as creators) an ability to articulate their opinion and offer solutions.
Shame.
The survey, the calls with different groups of players, the player panels, the discussions on Reddit/Discord/Twitter etc are all avenues to gather player feedback and opinions.
No one avenue is the most important we are just actively reaching out across multiple to be sure we are engaging different voices into the conversation.
‘Daily Challenges will work just as they used to – including Keys, Lamps and Streak rewards.’
Does this mean challenges will give lamps instead of the instantaneous XP? I wouldn’t mind getting lamps like how daily missions work currently.
Edit: To choose XP in a skill for a lamp
I believe the intent is that Daily Challenges return essentially how they were prior to the change.
The most recent news post on the rs site literally mentioned this: "A variety of other projects are still in the works at various stages of production including Mod Ramen's Cape Particles."
Oh, news to me! :D (I've been away)
/u/Jagex_Fowl 's Halloween event should be on the 23rd. I think it's designed to be permanent like those violet quests. Jagex should begin having hween TH promos around the 16th.
Heyo, Just checking in, where did the idea that it was going to be a permanent quest similar to Violet's come up from?
I don't believe we have said anything of this nature about the Halloween event and I wanna temper any common expectations coming up to this event.
