this ^

me making videos etc. does not impact the development of the game.

Also I was a programmer, but I can't do that anymore (edit: too busy with CM) and another (better) programmer has been hired in my place.

Thanks a lot for this post.

From what we can see there is still a lot of friction with playing multiplayer with respect to bugs, and perhaps lack of some features for easier co-operation. We focus on multiplayer a lot here at CSS so hopefully we will see some improvements on this in the future. Anyway I bring this up because it could explain *some* of the lower multiplayer numbers.

Dedicated servers will help a lot with that friction as well as performance and persistent worlds, so that will be a big win IMO.

Having said that, IMO, I think the game is very appealing as a single player! It's my preferred method too. Playing alone is generally my preferred play style because I have no choice/friends. But also because I'm stupid and slow and can't keep up with my "friends'" plans. But I've seen many videos and streams of folks co-operating really well and that's great to see.

Anyway, this is not really some "official" comment or anything, this is just ...

uh well, confident-ish, but it's high prio and we will always do our best to optimise. having said that, "infinite" stackable smelters will likely result in 1 fps and hopefully we can all just be okay with that xD

Hi Jace,

maybe this helps a bit with the discussion. I made a "single- or multiplayer" poll a view weeks ago.

See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/cg19vt/single_or_multiplayer_preliminary_results_of_the/

Check the poll itself (link in the post). The numbers are more up to date.

If you just want to play the game in it's most Stableโ„ข version, just stick to early access. If you wish to get access to the newest stuff as soon as it is available - even though it might be unstable and risky - then use Experimental.

You bought both.

edit: clarification

Having said that, IMO having 2 different games in the launcher for 2 branches sucks. We'd like to do more branches for various things but it ends up clogging the browser so we won't. So I feel you on your criticism there.

I hope epic do something about it.

As I said in the video, there is more than Dedicated Servers and Mod Support. I am just not disclosing everything yet. There will absolutely be more content!

we will absolutely try and add small bug fixes and QoL changes in the mean time! That's the plan anyway
