If you're on a 32 bit system, you will have to roll back to 2.2.7, as we have switched Stellaris to 64 bit.

If you're on Windows 7 or 8, update to the latest possible version. Also if you are not on the latest version of .net framework, update that as well. Disable any antivirus for first launch. That has resolved it for most.

Try a verify file integrity, and disable ALL mods until they can be updated to 2.3. Even the ones you think couldn't possibly break anything, because believe me, they can.

Hi all, I'm the Stellaris producer. Quick update:

For those on getting failure to launch on the stellaris_test branch on Linux, either opt out of that beta branch, or do the following:

Start Stellaris through the terminal, or a by adding the "-nolauncher" startup command. This can be done by right-clicking on Stellars in the steam library, click on properties and then click on Set Launch Options and enter "-nolauncher"

There's some weird config stuff going on. We are looking at more permanent solutions and will get those out as soon as possible, but here's a way you can play in the meantime.
