Wanted to address this as we're seeing this topic pop up here and there. When we deployed the new launcher, we stated "The “download” in this case refers not to re-downloading the game client but downloading small pieces of information for validating the game data already on disk. So to reiterate once more, players will not be experiencing a full download."


That is still the case when switching between live and PTS. You are not experiencing full downloads, rather, you are seeing a sync with your internal files. Going back and forth between the servers will always have this syncing period with them.

I would have to disagree.  While there is still a certain amount I still don't understand, taking away the ability to build stacks of center (watchman reference) will require us to rely on RNG for other abilities to build centering and focus regen more heavily than it already does.  While I was able to obtain 34K DPS on both live and PTS, the issue with the PTS was I had to wait 1-3 GCDs on Force Melt just to get Zen, so using that with the X2 Force Melt damage (instead of X4) will hurt more than expected.

 

It isn't quite the rotation, while it does the job nicely, it's more so on stability in operations.

Hello all,

I wanted to respond to some of the things brought up in this thread. First of all, I want to thank everyone for their feedback on these changes.

There has been a lot of discussion around Marauder changes, particularly Annihilation. I would like to give a little reasoning as to why these changes are being made, so as we continue feedback y'all can have the context of what the goal here is.

Annihilation / Watchmen (from here out I'll just call them Annihilation) were consistently outperforming our DPS targets slightly and we noticed their level 23 mod choices were very unbalanced. While we enjoyed the gameplay this offered, unfortunately it made their optimal DPS require a strict rotation that was only usable if they selected the Draining Center mod choice. The redesign for these choices was to make all mods at level 23 competitive with one another. On PTS, any choice Annihilation makes at level 23 is a now a good one. While some are ...

@Sarova@Hudlar and anyone else who was looking for a way to make the post text size larger there is now a toggle. On desktop you can find it in the dropdown in the top left where it shows your username. And on mobile it is in the menu toggle in the top right. Look for the checkbox that says "Increase font-size for content?"

The third season of Galactic Seasons begins now! Like the previous editions, players will be able to progress through two different tracks: the Free Reward track or the Subscriber Reward track. Subscribers will have access to both tracks as they progress through the Season. Players can progress through these reward tracks by completing Daily and Weekly Season Objectives.



Compared to the previous seasons, a few changes have been implemented. First, the number of Tech Fragments available on the Free Reward track has been increased to 3500 Tech Fragments. Balance Changes Coming to Game Update 7.2

Hey everyone, Shabir here with another round of balance changes. On this pass, we took a look at Tanks across all 3 disciplines and made adjustments to bring up their Threat generation as well as  damage in line with our targets for tanks. There are also adjustments made to Marauder/Sentinel and Mercenary/Commando. We look forward to seeing your feedback on these balance changes and will post updates on any changes that may occur in this thread. It’s time to talk about the changes you’ll see coming with patch 7.2 that impact gearing and progression!

Increasing the Power Floor
7.2 will be the first time we raise what we call the power floor! As the 7.0 era progresses, we will occasionally raise the base item ratings for Legacy of the Sith content. Here are the changes that will come with increasing the power floor:

  • Rewards from the Legacy of the Sith story will be increased to 322 (up from 318)
  • The minimum item rating of gear dropped for level 80 players in non-PvP content will be increased to 324 (up from 320)
  • The minimum item rating of gear obtained for level 80 players in PvP content will be increased to 322 (from 318)
  • The item rating of gear sold by the Conquest Gear Vendors will be increased to 324 (up from 320)

With Game Update 7.1.1, players can look forward to new rewards for the Feast of Prosperity event and Galactic Seasons 3, “Luck of the Draw,” introducing a new companion, reputation track, and rewards.   • Daily Area: Heroic 4 Valga Djenn Known Issue: Enemy abilities are not finalized
  • Daily Area: The Flutterplume Shrieker has an ability that is not finalized and currently doesn't do much
  • Mandalorian Relic: Repulsor Unit - the Volatile Lambro interactables do not play their explosions at the correct time
  • Mandalorian Relic: What's in the Works daily - the scannable object for the reservoir can be difficult to acquire
  • World Boss: Some animations for attacks do not currently play as intended
